So any of you guys computer wizards or hackers? Some Russian email hacked my Instagram. Apparently it's a thing. They logged in, changed my email, password, bio, username and set up 2factor verification, went private and blocked my other account. This is the second time it's happened so I'm irritated. I tried Instagram hacked account protocol and got the email and password but it just says challenged and want to send identity verification to the Russian email. I tried emailing instagram but it's all robots. Did the identity verification through the hacked account thing and sent a photo with the code and it didn't help. I'm about to delete all my social media over this cause it's annoying.

Last time they got in I had the same password for Amazon and they got on and bought some shit and changed those passwords and that username and I had to work to get that back too. So stay safe guys

Happened to me the day I created the account. It's owned by FB, so don't expect much. I attempted to recover the account, but their method to update the info requires you to be logged in (go figure). ...and no, I never got any response to any of my inquiries; it's been a few months.

Life is much better without traditional social media anyway; just stick to TW and texting!

See, that's all I wanted to do, but I figured if I had an account, I could save the people I wanted to follow.
Then within 14 hours, my email address was changed to some .ru and I was locked out for all eternity.
...said fuck it, and never looked back.

Also, deleted my FB account like 7 years ago - best decision ever!

Sure. But I use it all the time. Have reconnected with some friends from way back. It's a great tool. I hold my nose when I consider who owns FB. Slowly weening myself off. Though I will probably be banned for life eventually. Already been banned 6 times. Lotta snowflakes there.
