    Yeah I remember seeing that. They just shoved part of a Furnace filter into the airbox, IIRC.

    Not the engine airbox, the black HVAC box where the cowl piping enters. Something like that, I’m paraphrasing here.

    worst thing about Pismo (other than the crowds) is how quickly the beach sand causes rust spots on anything metal on the truck...I've only been once but my sliders had tons of surface rust spots on them after one weekend out there. Luckily my frame didn't get any.

    Yep, very first time I went my bed rope hooks completely rusted over (surface). I don't get frame or other major rust but certain brackets with the same coating as the bed hooks get surface rust like the brake line brackets on the rear axle.

    And we pressure wash everything with soap before we get on the fwy to head out or right when we get back.

    We never run into crowds though. We go on weekdays to avoid them.

    I'm still up for a group trip out there this winter...I think we had talked about that in the other thread briefly yea? Would have to be a weekend thing for me since my time off work is pretty limited for awhile, but could head up there on a Friday evening and head back down to LA on Sunday afternoon
