What @Comatose said but lots of guys do it anyways. Briery branch or switzer lake would be easiest. Make sure you have maps and not just on your phone, extra water, a pack if you get stuck and need to get out, recovery gear, some food, med gear of course and comms. Should be plenty of people up there as well usually so wouldn't be stuck for long even if you did.

Thanks for that. I already have GAIA installed onto my phone/ipad, haven't picked up a Garmin Explorer yet which I know can be connected to keep a GPS link. If this weekend is crap, maybe I'll join the next time a group of y'all go up so I'm with another group of peeps.

Union Springs: Easy. You might use your sliders.
Switzer Lake: Easier. If you're using any armor at all it's because you're driving fast.
Briery Branch Rd/924: Easiest I'm pretty sure I could get my wife's subaru up it (I know I could get a rental honda civic up it).

Switzer lake, then Briery Branch down. It's a nice drive.

^^This. Although I have done it by myself, at night, in the rain.

If you go on a weekend day, the trails are busy enough someone will come help you before you die. This time of year, bring gear to spend the night by your self. There is also shitty cell service on all three trails, so you may have to hike to the top to get coverage and call for help.

Hopefully I'll be fine on the easy trails. I won't be completely alone since my girlfriend will be riding with me. I also should be fine with most of the obstacles (if there are any on those trails) since I have a basic 2.5" lift with 33s.

Not what I meant, but at least you'll have something to eat should things go horribly wrong.

I know what you meant about being the only vehicle. I'm sure there will be other people around since it will be a Friday evening, but I still might just wait until Sunday.

I bought a couple megabillions and a couple powerball. Figured i would be throwing away ten bucks on something, might as well try to get a nice return on it.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
You can get stuck on Union Springs... In a couple of spots. Wouldn't recommend Union Sprigs alone, unless you have a winch.

What should my next mod (reasonably priced) be? Smaller pulley and short throw going on this weekend. Hopefully front end stuff the week after.
