Ham (amature radio) Call sign Directory

The purpose of this thread is to be a utility to all hams and future hams on this site. The following list can be used for, but not limited to

• Searching for callsign via user name or state
• A quick reference for a call sign when gong out of state for a group event and meeting up with other hams (simplex call)
• Ham refference for out of state ham radio suppliers (emergency repairs)(or new toys...gear) or local knowledge such as local active repeaters.
• Tracking users via APRS to reveal access to a rally location
• Using local or distant hams to showcase gear, share knowledge, and help advise on how to become licensed

The bolded item is something I wish everyone will take part in. No one knows everything , but you might know enough to help someone else.

To be added on to the list just post your callsign and the current state you live in. Rember the public information tied to your callsign. If you want to withhold your callsign but make yourself available for Q&A to locals via PM just place the state you're in. If you would like to be removed from the list for any reason, private message me m603holden and I will remove it asap. Also, any additional information you'd like to include such as city / town, license, or area of knowledge (i.e. digital modes, HF, CW, antennas, ect) can be posted in your post. Please keep it short. This is so members can contact you about specific topics via message or for be in the above posted BS link.

The current update will be marked at the bottom of the list post. If by chance you haven't been added and the date surpasses your post, reposts are acceptable. And don't forget to vote. Let's get a good survey of how many Hams are on Tacomaworld.

Mainly for travel reasons. We dont have cell towers in a lot of our remote area. But there are repeaters or a far LOS. Sometimes it's not a true emergency, but a situation where you can bribe a TW or reach someone in the area that might be willing to lend a hand out of associstion.

Also locals know how their area works as far as testing and resources go. If someone wants help in FL, there might be a ham 2 towns over that they can either get local advice from, or if it's a matter of exposure, go see it first hand. A lot of users might be the silent type on here, but seeing someone close to them might be a push towards communicating.

Then there's the group trip bit. If information gets lost or mixed up, it's just a refference to revert back to. Simple punch into APRS in a no cell zone and it might result in giving a patient camp owner an answer the "x" should be arriving aound 11pm.
