Just a bummer to see that and the jeep mentality that they can go anywhere

Welp, the owner of the Jeep who I helped out on Sunday up on HLT isn't texting me back so I guess he has decided to keep my shovel. If I don't hear back by the weekend I'm tempted to report him for being off trail but not sure who to contact or if it's even worth it.

He's the chunky dude in front of the Jeep in the pic below. Recently moved to Reno. Not sure if he is still active military but he was in the Army. Just realized that his temp tags expired over 2 months ago.

I know where his roommates-brother works so I may pay him a visit and see if I can dig up his address.

 

Just what I love. Fuckwits moving to my/our state and fucking it up. I hope I get the "opportunity" to help him out on the trail some time.

I haven't posted the pics yet because they don't have an image uploader and I'm lazy...I imagine the pics will get them fired up though so I may have to put some more effort into it.

I wonder if he would get fined if I report and how much more the fine will be than the $25 I'll have to spend to replace the shovel.

I'm still optimistic that I either got the wrong number from him (on accident, of course) or he's still digging but I'll be buying a new shovel Saturday before I head out if I don't hear from him
