It’s common in all the models it’s just a characteristic and a specific point in the fuel mapping and rpms. OVTune 1.05 hopefully fixes it

If you could record the stutter under the load. Hopefully the scanner allows for graphing the data. If so I may be able to guide you through the graphing process and that may help pinpoint it. It would only take 30 seconds of data to do.

The stutter occurs under while cruising/steady throtte?

i need to update my scannner. I was debating on tagging the crank sensor and putting my scope on it to see if there is any dips. And it’s very pronounced under mild to heavy load acceleration wise and noticeable in steady cruse. Light load 30mph it surges i noticed the other day

TSB 0058-18 refers to a surge. It's supposed to be fixed with the latest update but it's clearly not. I still have the surge issue outlined in the TSB but Toyota says there's nothing wrong with it. The third time I came in to have it looked at the service manager didn't hear a word I said. He figured he wasn't getting paid for the time so he was aggravated.
I get that fixing problems, especially when Toyota can't figure it out, is rewarding... but we shouldn't have to convince Toyota there is an issue and definitely not have to fix it with $30k+ trucks.

This actually is normal for the V6 atleast. Read your owners manual, says that some engine knock is considered normal. I'm not joking.

No kidding. I don't consider what I am feeling a knock associated with this section in the manual that refers to fuel information. It's definitely not like spark knock.

■If your engine knocks ●Consult your Toyota dealer. ●You may occasionally notice light knocking for a short time while accelerating or driving uphill. This is normal and there is no need for concern.

If that's all you've ever used, maybe try some 87-89.

Started with 87 went to 93. Might try 89. It doesn’t seem to react any differently on either

Ah, I also have the 2.7 and tried to make it act the way you describe. Under 1500 rpm with a load I could get a slight shudder, but not for more than a fraction of a second. Hope they can get yours working properly

Well another update after long drives it started acting like it’s being tugged not sure what to make of it. Whatever it is my local Toyota dealership has washed their hands of it telling me they will start charging me if they can’t replicate the issue. I suppose I will either drive it until it fails or attempt to narrowing down what it is. 3rd option is to park it till I can sell it. Sucks I really like the truck just unreal how much shaking it does.
