Haven’t had an alignment in about 2 years, but truck is driving well and no odd wear on the tires. What’s your thinking behind alignment causing the issue? I guess it could be a ujoint but I’d hope not seeing as they are less than 3 months old.

Will check u bolts. Doubt it’s axle wrap cause I haven’t changed anything recently that would make axle wrap better or worse. What specifically should I look at with the slip joint?

    Have you ever greased it?

If it's dry it won't slide easy so it will momentarily stick and let go causing a clunk

Good call. Was greased but will check again and add if needed.

When Big-nO tires didn't torque down the lca cam bolts, there was a single clunk.

I took my truck there and they couldn't figure out to align the truck and center the steering wheel at the same time

Big O techs have impressed me with their inability to identify the difference between leaf packs and coil overs and even scarier: drumbrakes vs disc... There's nothing easier to differentiate that I can think of.

After i tracked down the clunk and realized it was them loosening but not tightening the lca bolts i went back for them to properly align it with the unlimited plan i had. The moronic manager in Golden said it couldn't have been them that left them loose because "we don't touch those bolts, we only adjust the tie rod ends during an alignment". o_O

It was Glenwood that jacked it up originally... Golden was the icing on the cake.

Which reminds me. Tundy needs it's 15k service.

Damn.. Was going to think about mentioning a little last minute meetup tomorrow night at Unser Karting since I have to suffer my way down to DIA. But it looks like the tariffs hit there as well. I remember back in the day when it was on the higher priced side but not too bad. But $9 for your license, $20 for first race and $16 after that is a wee bit steep imo. No mention of bundle deals or specials. Bummer.

But if anyone wants to grab a brew or food, I could be along i70 after rush hour goes away.

Yeah, Unser really cranked their prices up. If you go on an off night it's almost still worth the cost because there will hardly be anyone there

Anyone have a go-to shop in SE Aurora (Smoky Hill and Tower)? Thinking about dropping the truck somewhere to have a few issues tied off before November so I can go to Moab while I focus my energy on some projects around the house.

It sucks because it's a good time. The k1 electric place which was cheaper isn't worth it imo... Pretty boring in comparison.
