Exactly, which is why OP needs to find out what the dealer considers an accessory. Just giving a point of comparison for what Toyota considers an accessory.

I'd go wheels, if not, then cast running boards (keep the rocks down), buy the $100 mat yourself. Get sliders, sell boards for $200+ = make a hundo! (possibly more)

I had something similar and chose the trd exhaust. I would have chosen the cover but from what I understand the oem ones cat be ordered from the factory. You have to order individual parts and piece it together.

Who the hell is giving away free $700 exhaust kits and bed covers?

I got a complimentary $5 "dash detail kit" from my cheapskate dealer.

If you like the PRO grille then having the OEM for free would be nice.

Mods: Is this still a Tacoma?
Not true, most units, atleast the one I’m testing for plug n play on M/T has a sequence that it watches for as a “checklist” that ensures this doesn’t happen.

Car running normally in neutral with handbrake down.
    -press and hold foot brake
    -pull e brake
    -release foot brake.
    -remove key
    -open and close drivers door

Any divergence to this such as forgot your shades in the vehicle gotta go back n get them, then the controller assumes since the door has been opened, there is a potential that person (or mechanic) bumped or intentionally put the vehicle in gear and/or ebrake down. That checklist is no longer valid, your vehicle will not be remote start ready unless you jump in, restart the vehicle, and repeat Rhee sequence I mentioned above. A pain, yes. Safe, 100%. In today’s age with everyone suing each other, the manufacturer would not release a product that couldn’t pass our NHTSA standards. And if they could, they still wouldn’t due to liability and risk.

The TRD exhausts on the 4runner and FJ were bad news.....like replace 3 cats bad....$2100 bad

I hope this setup is not as prone to failure

I’d pick a big ticket item if it’s anything from the accessories list. Personally I got a TRD skid, but probably should have sprung for the exhaust.

Sorry. It is true. I've seen it done. There's always a workaround for someone who knows what they're doing. I've also seen what happens first hand when it is left in gear and started - she takes off on her own and doesn't stop until she hits something. Note to others, don't even think of trying to stop it with your body...you going to lose. Ask me how I know.
