I was just going to ride around. Probably never even get on the island. Or drive,park and drink.

 

Lone Star? I've never been out of all the years I've been riding, but I think I might this year. I have to imagine the people watching is off the chain.

Here's my Triumph T120 next to my buddies Thruxton on a weekend trip to Austin.

 

People watching is what I'm going for.
I heard the bike traffic is stupid packed. Like you're just walking you bike around.

 

My in-laws live down there, I'd probably just park there and walk in. I imagine half the people there just trailer in vs ride.

 

Seems to be such a waste of time to trailer.

 

Yeah, but a lot of these guys wouldn't want to dirty up their New Balance or Nike Monarchs actually riding down there.

Great looking bikes. Before I bought my Ducati I seriously considered a Triumph. Nothing quite like riding a British motorcycle.

The people watching is worth the traffic. It's unbelievably... Special. It's why I'm going back.

Law enforcement has a very heavy presence there and on the highways leading into Galveston, and for damn good reason. Just don't ride dirty and maintain the speed limit and you'll have no issues.

I don't begrudge people trailering their bikes down though. They might be staying somewhere for the week, or want the added security of a trailer, that sort of thing. And yes, others may not want a bug splattered on their chrome while they bar hop with their curb monkey on their motorcycle.

 

I traded my Ducati for the Triumph. Granted, it was just a Scrambler.

 

...exactly what I have. A Cafe Racer.

Just a Scrambler be damned, it's really fun riding that slow bike fast.

 

Thats part of why I got rid of it. It was too fun and I was doing stupid shit on it. Miss that bike, but love my T120. Doesn't handle nearly as well though.

Ha! Yeah, it's actually just as easy to get into trouble on the pup as it is on my RR, which is saying a lot.

 

Isnt the 797 a 803cc? My monster 797 is an 803 anyways.

Just sold Chinese Honda ruckus knockoff gyc 150cc. Had a light bar I put on, even with my 1/8 of a ton mass still do 55...that fast on 13in wheels is scary... not a real bike but fun
