I recently installed King 2.5 and LSK boxed control arms. After a couple weeks I started getting a clunk in the front end at low speeds; below 20mph, but it seems to disappear at higher speeds. It sounds like something is loose but I've had the truck on jackstands several times and I've rechecked the torque each time. Besides the noise, everything seems to be functioning well, I'm just trying to make sure something isn't wrong. I spoke with someone who said it was probably the pivot in the top of the shock, but I'm unsure. Any help would be appreciated.

How does it clunk? Single clunk, continuous?

Does it do it when you hit a bump, turn, change from drive to reverse?

It clunks every time I roll over a larger bump, but only at really low speeds. I live on a farm on a dirt road and I notice it most when driving around the farm . As soon as I get up to 25mph+ it seems to go away. It's really weird, I've hit the same bumps at different speeds and going slow I get a clunk clunk clunk, I hit it at 50mph and nothing.

There’s a couple threads about this around, but people have found their steering rack, transfer case bolts not fully tightened, or front body mounts failing prematurely.

Edit: My truck has it too and I’m trying to get a couple other things knocked out at the dealer at once.

All the usual diesel truck mods- fuel system upgrade, programmer, CAI, intake manifold, 60MM stealth turbo
Well a few things come to mind. Loose lca bolts- they take quite a bit of torque but can’t remember the exact number. Possible contact with sway bar unless it’s removed or if you’re 4x possible contact with bottom of coilover and bribe axle. Usually there’s spacers that offset the bottom coilover mount. Good luck those things can be elusive for sure.

I discovered that one bolt fell out of my sway bar mount (and another on the same side is slightly loose), which was causing a bracket that my bumper mounts on to move around and clunk. Don't know if you're running an aftermarket bumper but could be worth checking.

I took my sway bar off. I thought it was the sway bar, but no such luck.

Did you recently get an alignment? Some shops won't torque the lca bolts correctly, leading to a clunk.

I got one after I installed my coilovers about 8,000 miles ago, but there was no clunk then. Could they have backed off after some driving and off reading?

Could've.. It's an easy thing to check. Mine started not too long after the shop did it to my truck and it took forever to track it down.
