Ordered the 05-11 Toyota Tacoma Projector Headlights Light Bar DRL from tacomabeast today. The promo code still works. "Exclusive" save $ 100. Excited to replace my hazy stock lights on my 05.

Did you install the load resisters? I did mine last night based off @Tamytacoma 's install. I can post more info if you're still needing to do it.

I haven't, I think I ordered the wrong LED's, they don't quite fit. Waiting on replacements.

Would love to see how you tied in the resistor to the wiring if you have a pic.

This could have been done prettier/neater; I was pretty lazy with this. Don't judge... LOL

I used 22ga steel sheet to make the plates/brackets. Went to town with the dremel.

Used these holes to mount them to:

    Driver side:

    Passenger side:

There are plenty of videos on youtube about how to wire these in. Pretty easy. No guessing with the single filament bulbs.

I just realized you have a 2013. You might have a dual filament bulb....i'm not sure. 3 wires vs 2 wires, if so you just have to find the right one. Again, youtube.

What’s wrong with running your park lights during the day if it will make the LED bar come with your DTRLs? Won’t look cool? Lol seems a bit picky for a sick set of lights.

The stereo can be set to auto darken when turning on the parking lights or headlights. I would love the bright screen during the day, and dark at night without having to go into the settings for the stereo.

Has anyone found a good plug n play bulb upgrade for these lights? I'm running the smoked lenses and I knew I would be sacrificing some light output, but man is the output pretty terrible with the smoked lenses.

I took the plunge and ordered these (and a pair of LED taillights).

I will let you all know how that works out, and I will keep checking back to see if anyone solves the direct replacement LED good output dilemma.

@schecter517 did you get the H11 HID kit from DDM?

Edit: Disregard - the kit works for H8, H9, and H11 connections, there is no difference on the HID side.

My turn signal did the same thing the other day! I bought 2 Sylvania replacement Amber bulbs ($7.50 from Auto Zone) seemed to help maybe they wont melt at bottoms as bad...? Also mine are smoked lens and noticed after seeing your post that they are bubbling on top where "tint" is im guessing...*ALSO about 2 months ago my white [ halo] on one side went out for some reason and caused fuse to blow so i just had to unplug halos which sucks that the coolest feature about these lights is in-operable! But beats pulling them out and swapping to stock for now...

...I'm thinking about getting another pair (maybe unsmoked this time) HID but with 4300K instead of 6000k because i like the whiter light. Also I'll get the extended 1yr warranty (pro-tuning lab) this time so i can return if shit goes bad again.

20181116_210345.jpg I have these headlights and love them!

Only issue I've had is blowing fuses do to the large 55w ballast .

Just make sure your lights are off before you start the truck and then turn them on!

Has anyone had any luck with sourcing a good replacement H9 headlight bulb? I'm guessing it HAS to be 55watt? I found a 100watt but I think that'll be too much.....

100 w will be way to much...
It'll be blowing your fuses left and right and blinding everyone on the road .I wouldn't go over 55w .mine are 55 w and are still border line to bright

Now you guys have me thinking HID instead of LED. I just sent an email to the retrofit source to see what they suggest. Buy once cry once, right?
