    I have run across this, as well as the Carbinite coating. I was going to go one of those routes if the rip slots hadn’t worked.

    I've looked into the Carbonite coating prior to doing the rip mod. The consensus seems to be that they cause alot of belt dust that leads to premature wear. Pricing of $99 I believe isn't bad tho. If nothing else works then it maybe its worth trying. But I think with the combination of the rip mod, shorter belt, and your version of the belt wrap mod you should be fine.

    Yeah, carbinite looked pretty good, I did almost go that route. But although they advertised that it was for daily driven cars as well as race cars, it still seemed better suited for race.

    I have reason to believe that I still slip, because while I do see 11 psi fairly regularly I don't see it as much as I should and I know this 2.3 should be hitting about 12 or so because I have seen 11.7psi before. Maybe now that I pulled out the jet again I'll see more consistent boost. Yeehaw.

    You being at nearly sealevel I wouldn't doubt if you slightly are, as I'm seeing those numbers at 3600 feet with no cats.

    Yeah even with the RIP mod, the gates fleetrunner belt and the pulley belt wrap mod I see semi inconsistent boost pressures. Sometimes on the higher end of the spectrum and sometimes the lower. The new billet tensioner I got coming from Thump should alleviate those issues. HOWEVER, if it does not I will perform a double wrap pulley mod to the current Roostfactor mod I have in place. One way or another I will realize full boost power!

    if your issues are actually realized then I can't be too different or far off or atleast for much longer. The only variable between us being only the age of our belts. Which also means @Athlaos is surely slipping.

    Oh, probably. I'm just happy it's slipping way less now. I've got my new tensioner in the mail... that might help.

    I have always noticed that ambient conditions will cause boost to vary slightly too. Could also be that?

    Not really. It will cause boost to change, but it wont be inconsistent. It will just cause lower or higher overall boost output. Like right now I am hitting less than 11.4- 11.7psi that I was seeing in the previous month or two when it was warmer out at night and am more stable around 10.4- 10.8 psi because of the fact that the air is denser so there is more engine output despite the fact the boost is less because of that same denser air.

    Yeah, absolutely. That's how I know there is some mild slip still present.

    My new billet aluminum, double bearing pulley equipped tensioner should alleviate those issues though. ;)

    If it does not, then I can run an inch shorter belt and not have to worry about tensioner breakage. :D

    I could but that would require further investigation into the proper part number for a fleetrunner belt.

    Luckily it wouldn't have to be exact at that point and I could play with different sizes without dire consequences being a factor. ;)
