    Only way I would do a wood fence is from square one not having deal with stuff cut short, plumbed wrong and not in a straight line. Then It would take a month to pick out wood , I would use steel poles and so on . It would be pricey ! But it would be straight , square and rot free!

    LOL No wife nor GF and a pretty cheap life style except for tools and such :} I about choked when I saw the 98.10 per panel price tag. I have 48 Panels soo. Screw it The non pressure treated one lasted 12 to 13 years by then I will be 65 and some one else can figure out what they want. I can't tell you how many times I had to stop myself from yanking ever god damn post and relaying it out with steel poles ... Still thinking how much work it would be . I am doing it all myself with the occasional hand from a buddy to sit in the tractor seat and run the levers. Unloading the panels got me today after 20 I was done hell called out too not a chance could I make 3 stories of stairs.

    Don't look to close refer back to my string line comment, they cut the corner post to low so me raising the panels above the old attach points on that side is not working out . I had to split the difference of raising and how much post there was and if you know your laws of exponentials well .. SO yeah I have to drop those panels put up a string line with a gradual angle from the back corner to the front corner.. ... :{

    Took a load of green apples to the local horse riding club today. They're the only people that want them. That apple tree is a monster, only way I can get rid of them is pick them myself take them to the horse riders. The annual trimmings are nice barbecue flavoring, but they have to be chipped.

    Go buy some steel square you can fit the wood post into (sleeves). Cut the sleeves long enough to set to a decent depth and still have enough sticking out of the ground for height adjustment.

    When the fence installer trimmed the posts he or his helpers screwed up . They cut the corner post 1 and a half inches shorter then all the other posts. I did not know this , I drew a string line across the tops as a reference line for the first couple of panels that were put I did not start at the corner I had posts I had to replace and wanted to use the old panels as a reference height . So I worked back to the corner that is when I discovered the issue. I tried to adjust but did not adjust enough so 7 panels up I am now 2 inches in height difference to the bad side :{ . I also realized two other things they fabricated a panel as they had off set a post by 1.750 inch so when I got to it the panel edge was beyond the post. and they cut the last 5 panels bottoms to keep the top line straight .I believe they did what I did followed their own corner post which was short . So instead of rehanging they trimmed to they stayed in a straight line. Add into this the panels I bought are dimensionally unstable IE 95.5 inches to 96.750 inches . the height of the cross bars on most are stable but I have found four that are not so that screws with trying to use a standard height line off them a few have had to be tweaked as they were wracked a good bit . If I ever have to do this again it will be built in place not pre done panels. Rant \

    If it is easier then dropping the panels and rehanging them .... No fire is not an option people on the other side behind me have dogs and aren't very good at keeping them home...
