Regret doing Rear Spring TSB?

I know there are a lot of TSB threads, but the ones I have seen people are glad they did it. I am glad. But it got me thinking, is there anyone that has done the TSB that regrets doing it, or has experienced something they didn't like? I will probably do the rear spring and auto trans re-flash the next time I go to the dealer.

 

My only regret is not doing it sooner. I love my truck much more now! I'd be surprised if anyone regrets getting the rear spring tsb done.

 

What's the advantage to getting the rear TSB done?

 

I don't like the fact that I have to spend more money to level out the front.

Would the rear TSB make the ride rougher?

 

To me the truck feels more balanced. Before the TSB the front felt firm and the rear was very soft.
Now it feels more equal.

Ours does sit higher in the rear now and looks like a leveling kit would help it not have the stance.

 

I would say 100% i wish i done it sooner. The truck rides so much nicer now in many ways. First off i do feel it being a more firm of a ride but the ride is balanced so much better. Going into a sharp turn my truck does not lean into the curve anymore. Rides nice and flat right through. Also had the reflash done on the transmission. OMG so much better....like i said....wish i done it months ago but i'm very happy with the truck now!

Also you do not have to add anything after if you wish. I am going with the 5100's in the front to level the truck so i can upgrade rims/tires.

NO REGRETS.

 

I'm the opposite, I'm glad I got it because it made me finally buy a lift for the front.

 

When did you have it done?

Put 200lbs in the bed for a month....it'll settle down.

I've only got about 1" rake on mine and I think it looks perfect.

 

There are alot of things I shouldn't have to do, but I still do them anyway.

The front rake reminds me too much of the old 70's era 2wd 3/4 ton trucks.
I need to eliminate this.

 

The TSB puts a stiffer suspension on the back of the truck. The stock suspension is too soft to haul what it should. I was having issues with mine bottoming out with a motorcycle in the bed. TSB fixed the problem. The truck will ride a little stiffer but I honestly like it better sinc eit doesn't roll as bad in corners and isn't bouncy.

 

Is it true that the TSB on the rear suspension is only good to the first owner? I bought my 06 and was thinking about taking it in to see if the dealer would take care of it! Thanks in advance.

 

its a technical service bulletin, it only applies to vehicles under warranty. if you have the same 3yr/36,000mi warranty as most then you are out of the service period and would have to pay them to do the work.

 

Pretty sure that it only happens in very rare 'good faith' cases outside of the 36 month, 36,000 mile warranty period.

 

100% better!! tsb and wheelers aal - no stiffness, motor bikes in back, halling ass everywhere. the way it should be

TSB and Billies up front set at 1.75. Now truck is level, ride is superior, truck handles heavy loads better, and with the addition of Hankook tires, it looks more like a 4x4 truck should. Am now a very happy camper.
