Silver and black.....only the best. They are out of a shop in Layton, Utah, Fat Bob's. They use Bilstein 5100's with a 600lb coil. 0-3" of adjustability. $499.99.

Tried and true Bilstein versus a Bilstein 5100. Explain the difference. I called the shop and talked to them.

No worries. Hope they work out for you. When I was searching for suspension on my old 2nd gen, I was looking at their kit. Ended up just going OME though. Good luck to ya

I put them on in October. 8 threads showing gave me 2.25” lift. I used a headstrong .25 spacer for driver lean. Shocks do appear to be Bilstein 5100 with threaded bodies. They ride nice (stiffer than stock). I am very happy with them. 81D54C09-B070-427E-8FF3-B622C63B2747.jpg

Looks great! Are those threaded sleeves removable?

It did look like the threaded collar was removable. I suspect the collar is held in place by a snap ring. They were pre-assembled, so I only adjusted them to the height I wanted.

I still haven’t made up my mind. How are these working out now that you have a year on them?

I still really like them. Ride is good and no fluid leaks.

Sweet. Do you take them off-road at all?

I live in SW Colorado and do quite a bit of backcountry stuff. I travel maintained and unmaintained forest roads in Colorado and mtn bike in Moab a good bit. I roam around in Moab looking for the “spot” to camp. So yes offroad, but no rock crawling or crazy stuff.
