my truck was broken into...

I just thought it would not happen to me. I have had stuff stolen from me before, but nothing from my truck.

Whoever did this took my Pioneer headunit, my ipod nano which was connected to it, and my ScanGauge.

All the items are replaceable, it does not make sense why someone would do it.













After seeing my truck, I contacted the police and insurance. After all was said and done, my GF still had to go to work. As we are leaving the apt complex I notice a Yaris parked and the passenger side window was rolled down. I stop to take a look at it, as I get closer I see broken glass, the Yaris was broken into as well. Not a good day for either of us.

Sorry to hear that man at least your insurance will cover it. My GF's car was broken into in March luckily some of my neighbors ran the guy down and the cops got him. He was sentenced to 5 years in DOC. The dude said he was high on meth, he broken into 5 different cars in my subdivision.

 

horrible. people are so stupid.

 

I have an appt at 8am this morning to have the side window repair. Other than the Toyota Yaris, I don't know if any one else got broken into.

 

Somebody is hatin' on Toyotas at your place... time for a stake out!

I cannot stand thieves and and its more than about losing the stuff...damage to your truck etc. Is there any cameras where you park? Hopefully the police will catch the lil B's!

No cameras in the area I park my truck. After looking at my truck, a neighbor walked up to me and said "They got you too?" She then went one to tell me last week there were two cars that were broken into.

We have security that patrols the area. I have not seen them at all.

 

That sucks man. To many reports of theft of upgraded headunits have made me think twice about getting one.

 

My GF was worried, she knows how much we love our truck, she thought I was pissed. I am pissed, just the fact that someone does something like this. I just hope the people with Yaris did not have too much valuables in their car.

 

Make sure you keep an eye on craigslist. I wouldn't be surprised if it showed up on there in the next couple of days.

I will be talking to my GF about renting a house after our lease is up here.

I normally don't keep my Ipod in the truck. About 75% of the time I slip the front part of the receiver off and slide it under the seat.

I will look into an alarm.
