@Texoma I think anyone can make a post on the FB page, but if Chad posts it, he may be able to pin/sticky it to the top.... Dunno, I'm not an admin. That being said, I'll be working on Saturday to make up for some lost days due to this weather.

NVM, it's been posted.... I feel bad for all those that have been affected, a friend and I went down to Houston after last year's hurricane to do some recovery work and saw first hand how shitty it can be and how much is lost.....

Then a few years ago, during the Wimberley Floods, rain was supposed to stop at 9am according to the weather dude, but it was as if God didn't receive that day's forecast. All hell opened up, we were working at a Ranch that was on a road with about 5 creek crossings, it was definitely frightening seeing the water levels rise so quickly. We decided that it was worth taking the risk through those water crossings to flee the ranch, good thing too because the ranch exit road washed away about 20 minutes after we left according to the ranch hand. We eventually made it out into town, only to find ALL roads in and out of town flooded, trucks turned over in what are typically dry creeks. Then I got an alert from my brother whom was in high school at the time that we needed to go pick him up, that school was being let out due to the severe weather at mid day and that buses weren't running. Took all my knowledge of the town back roads and county roads to navigate through multiple water crossings, zig zagging across and around town to make my way to Kyle, onto the toll road, only to find that every exit in Del Valle was underwater, @Nopro probably remembers. Fuck.... going back to Wimberley two days later, only to see ENTIRE homes washed away, hundreds of +30ft trees completely uprooted and scattered all over the river.....

Damn, just writing this out is a reminder that people are still truly in need, Fuck work, I'm gonna sign up for Saturday.

    Wouldn't you like to know!
Since they started Fracking near my parents house a little less than a year ago, their water well went from being totally drinkable to "drink at your own risk" and the neighbors had a water test done and it was 2x out of tolerance of what the normal PPM levels are.

Years ago when I installed GPS trackers in oil field trucks, I met an EHS manager with a company called SC Fuels out in Odessa/Midland and he swore up and down that fracking was absolutely horrible for the environment and for the water tables. Not sure if he's 100% correct because I'm just going off of what he told me and haven't done any real research on the topic. But he said basically when they "finish" with a well and have to dispose of the fracking water, most of the time they just fill the hole up and go about their business but I know they were also selling it to some giant company in Oklahoma that would "dispose" of it. Hopefully someone is doing real research on this and they figure out what the real consequences are before it's too late! Ok rant over go back to your normal Taco programming

Craziness it's terrible thing. I know zero about the oil business but fracking seems bad all around.
