Just took my dog to vet to remove 18 staples from her right leg from TPA surgery.

    Thank goodness for pet insurance!

My dog once decided he didn't want staples anymore, so he put them in a neat pile next to his bed. He figured out how to bend the cone. Back to the vet to get more, they didn't charge us fortunately.

Well , I hope he is ok and glad you didn’t incur any more expense .
I am fortunate my dog is pretty laid back like that and she just puts up with it.
She had the other knee done as well.

Mine took the cone off multiple times after she was spayed. I couldn't figure it out, and was worried about choking her because I was putting it on so tight. Watched her do it right in front of me...luckily for her ass, she didn't want to bother the sutures, she really just wanted the damn cone off! So after 4 times in 3 hours, it stayed off.

Also chewed through her seatbelt in the truck (came with the restraining collar, not the TRUCK seatbelt) within 60 miles of our 900 mile road trip to AZ. Once again, she didn't do it to jump in the front or be bothersome, she just wanted the damn thing off! Sat in the back like the little princess she (thinks she) is the whole trip.

Obligatory pic, my princess in her natural habitat...with ball nearby. Her new "sister" doing what she does...looking out into the world

My dog isn't allowed on the couch, but sometimes he forgets. Can't tell in the picture, but he's fully sitting on the ground.

Riley was never allowed on the couch. Until he was about a year and change. He does "ask" before getting up. What's hilarious is when someone is sitting in "his" spot. He'll sit and stare...
