Parked in the grass while the tree next to the driveway was being taken down. It was slightly embarrassing getting stuck.

You can put off-road tires on a prerunner, it doesn’t mean you can off-road. :anonymous:

Hey, I just got a new set of those. So far, really like them from a price/performance perspective, good dry/wet traction and less noise than the Geo highways that I had on there, and they were less than the Geo highway replacement.

They’ve been great, but you can’t expect them to get you out of a bog with one tire spinning.

Ugh, can't stand that. I'll get a locker one of these days for those tough to exit mall islands.

Works for me. The Geo highways were fine on dry and wet too, but I wanted a bit more aggressive tire for those few times I get on ice/snow. Granted, I've had my truck for 9 years now and the number of times I've had to deal with ice and snow can be counted on one hand, with sufficient fingers left over for a good nose picking, but I wanted something better than the highways (which really sucked).

Your e-locker and a bit of left foot braking can get you most of what you need for malling/light duty.

e-locker? It should engage automatically when it senses unequal wheel spin. It does use the brake to slow the spinning wheel which gets the non-spinner turning again. Has the same effect as left foot braking when one wheel spins to get other one moving, just the manual version.
