If I were to switch to an all terrain or something of that nature, would anyone be interested in a set of 4 STT Pros for somewhere around $800? I paid $1250 new from Les Schwab and have about 6500 miles on them. Here's what they look like on my truck. I'm on Bilstein 5100s in the front and rear for reference, although they don't change rear ride height. IMG_20180524_134452.jpg

I just have had a hard time balancing them. Great performance and look awesome, but I hate vibrations... maybe it's just the guys at the Schwab I go to and I just need to get them balanced somewhere else, but they haven't given me problems balancing before... Not sure. They're only a few months old, and I hate to get rid of them, especially since I've never sold a set of tires before.

I'm of no help here, just wanted to say that is a damn fine looking truck.

Before making the switch and taking a hit on selling your tires you should at least try having them balanced else where.

I'm on my 2nd set of 285/75r16 STT PRO's. They balance better than just about any tire I've ever had on a truck. They're smooth riding, albeit a bit loud (like a mud tire usually is) Mine ride BETTER when I'm at the maximum air pressure that still allows good wear (ie approx. 35psi) I've had several "name brand" A/T's that don't ride as smooth.

9 times in 10, if they didn't balance em right once....probably wonr do much better. On the 2nd try.

Also .. ROTATE tires often. Run tire a while after rotate before you decide if that helped. Often need to "wear in" a bit

Yeah I've had them balanced 3x and still not perfect. I rotated them at 5k miles, and the shake got worse when I put the rears on the front. It isnt super noticeable but it's enough to annoy me.

@Goobersbro can you recommend a reputable tire shop who can balance worth a damn in this area? Radial Tire in Sac is too far for someone "south of Redding."

How much would you offer in cash with the tires, and how much without?

If anyone's interested, here's some pics of the tires. Haven't cleaned them since they came off the truck but I can at a purchaser's request. I typically let people see whatever it is I'm selling in the condition it's been in under normal use so there's no surprises when you see them in person. They're at roughly 85% tread. $800 OBO.
