Hopefully no issues in the rest of the process. :)

It’s never made rice correctly so that’ll be the first thing I try with the replacement.

My smallest pot packed it in but it's my own fault. I was using it to roast nuts & season them and I think I overheated the poor thing. Now the hunt for a replacement.

How often are you guys using these pots to burn them out like this? I've had my older crock for over 10 years, use it a couple of times every week, and it's still going strong. And it's a cheap-ass Wal-Mart no name, at that. :notsure:

I’ve been through 5 in the last few years.
All of them burn food or will boil TF out of whats in there on the warm setting.

Older crock pots are awesome, new ones are horribly made.

I got one that is adequate for my needs not to long ago. It has the analog controls and I have no complaints. I'm not sure if this one of those things where the more sophisticated the electronics are the more likely it is to dump the bed. They do still make the no frills crockpots. For people of lesser intelligence. like myself, they are great. All you gotta do is turn the knob and walk away.

It seems like if you want a good crock pot these days, you've gotta swoop one up when some one is giving their old one away because they just got an instant pot.

I don’t think it’s the fact that it’s got electronics in it that’s the problem. I think it more stems from the fact that they are using the cheapest parts they can to build. Analog or digital if you use crap parts the outcome is the same. A lot of the older products were built in the US and built like a Sherman tank. Meant to be abused and just keep on going.

You're making a great deal of sense. The toys my parents had as a child seem to be unbreakable.

Wow, that's crazy. Hopefully it's just a defect and not a common problem, then.

I've got 4 of 'em. All for Specific Purposes but my Favourite is the one is with the removable stoneware. It's too big for most one meal Batches, but I'd like to get the same kind just a little smaller.
