Sooooo many people at the hospital yesterday were talking about that mega millions winner. It seems like everybody knew somebody that knew someone that knew someone that knew someone that knew the guy lol

In other news I just popped the hood and my coolant reservoir is empty again. Gonna do some searching and see if I can figure it out today.

Peeked around in there and noticed this around the oil filter. Could this be the culprit? Seems like if this was the source that there would be a lot more around the engine bay

I don't even think I realized they did chicken. I've never gotten anything except a big bag of sliders when I go there. There is one in TN that we stop at on the way to MI. Tasty little buggers.

Is that pink stuff sprayed around on the fan shroud and the hose as well? If so, the fan may be slinging it around somehow :notsure: not sure how it could be at the oil filyer, but I dont know much about that kind of thing. maybe it just ended up there after its ride around the engine bay

Mine kind of looked like this on my 2002. One day I opened the hood and the engine bay had pink stuff sprayed everywhere. Came to find out, the hoses at the top AND bottom had basically dry rotted. Ended up just having to get a whole new radiator.

That’s at least one source of your coolant loss.thats the nice thing about Toyota Coolant, it leaves a tattletale where it leaks. Water pumps will sling it all over the damn place.
That band clamp on the oil cooler line needs to be narrower, the wide one has the hose bunched and allowing it to leak, if it hasn’t cut thru

Damn man, hope that's not what will come of my situation. I remember my truck doing this many years ago when my dad had the truck, back when I was in high school. Unfortunately, given how much coolant I've lost in this little amount of time, I'm inclined to think theres another leak larger leak somewhere else

I agree, that's why I went with the OEM coolant, in hopes that it would leave a trace. I think I'm just gonna clean everything real good and refill it and see if I can catch the coolant while it's still wet in the engine bay. I dropped the stock skid plate to see if I could see any more coolant and I couldn't see any at all which is why I'm kind of baffled as to where all that coolant could have gone. Nothing on the hood or any that I could see on the engine

yeah, it started small but then I drove to Columbia and that started about a week long ordeal of adding coolant every other day and the truck running hot. Eventually, I bit the bullet and got the radiator replaced.
