I had the same thing while wheeling. Turned out my screen on the inlet of my Aeromotive pump was totally blinded off with crap. Replaced, and all has been good.

You need to datalog that bad boy and see WHAT exactly happens when you hammer it around 3,000 RPM. The lean out issue sounds like you have a major fueling issue, or MAF sensor issue. You would be surprised how many times my mass airflow has fucked me while driving my truck. Everytime my light comes on, I know it is bad before I even scan it and sure enough it is bad.

The falls flat on its face issue sounds like a throttle body issue potentially, or like I said, MAF issue.

Some data logging or live PID readings would be incredibly helpful here.

My thing is just having to fill up the meth tank. Its not a big deal but with a 7th I don’t ever have to worry about it.

the urd setup costs $600, then I would have to buy something to control the injector which it seems most controllers are around $200-300. The inital setup for the meth injection is cheaper, but I just don’t want to have a tune that requires it incase I run out for some reason, or if something in the system fails. I guess the same could happen with spraying fuel though.. decisions

    @rjbiii

Forgive me if you've already done this, and I know you're frustrated, but could you please list everything you've tried in detail?

Hopefully we (meaning everyone else in this thread because I'm an idiot) can help you out based upon what has been checked and tried if there was a list of things that haven't worked for you.

URD is as stumped as i am. I have had more sessions with scott than anyone else, and he told me, that my truck is the only one that he hasnt been able to solve the problems with.. im sure it will get worked out in time, but im just wondering how much time its gonna take

I was thinking URD for the fuel rail tap, then purchase an aux injector and holder that would be welded into the S/C body. Then you only need the fuel line and controller:

    https://billet-speed.com/collections/fuel-injection-efi-parts/products/fuel-injector-holder-small

    edit: added URD AIC

Yeah that was my initial thoughts as well. Replaced the lines that get kinked with one of those racetronix ones.

Man that sucks! Stick with it though. The guys on hear are pretty sharp, I'd bet they can get it solved. Any chance it's belt slip? I know that sounds obvious....but?

@rjbiii I wonder if you just need to do a 2.0" pulley.

Dude @rjbiii let's take it back to basics here. If URD can't get you right then possibly, just possibly, if you can get your hands on one get a PCM with the TRD tune on it and run it. See how it works, if it works good the UCON software is to blame. If it continues you have a hardware issue. Likely in the areas I pointed out previously, TB, MAF, or injectors.

All roads lead back to the TRD tune, always.

Oh you got OVTune? Go to the TRD tune.
Oh you got UCON? Go to the TRD tune.
Oh you don't have a supercharger? Go to the TRD tune.

Oh you don't have a Tacoma? Go to the TRD Tune.

I think @rjbiii's problem with the TRD tune is actually finding a dealership who will still do it.

I would rather not weld anything on the supercharger, especially with where I am located. I dont know if that last controller you linked will work, but maybe the middle one. In terms of where to mount I was going to find a throttlebody spacer or just tap into my maf tube(after the maf sensor of course).

Hacking a throttle body spacer would be fun.

Yeah, I would think you could get it all in for under the $600 dollar range.
