    Don't be that guy lol

I told you what I'm looking for, on each gear, up and down, under different loads.

Haven't posted in a while but I've been keeping up with the thread.

I know a few of you were discussing 1.04 reverting/learning over time (thousands of miles). I can now confirm this as well.

I've felt like the truck lost it's pep but I chalked it up to me just getting used to the tune.

However, my Pro was in the 15mpg range per tank before I tuned to 1.03. I instantly jumped to high 17mpg range and held there for several months even with the flash to 1.04. But then I started to notice each tank average dropping slowly over time. Again, I thought it might be weather, my driving, etc. But the last two tanks have now been back in the 15s so I pulled the battery to reset everything. Instantly I'm back up in the 17s per tank.
Note: I'm probably around 6-7k miles on 1.04.

I'm hoping 1.05 takes care of this learning for good!

Edit: I forgot the other important part: the truck drives and shifts sooooooo much better now! It was definitely losing it's pep like I thought.

    I don't have the tune yet...but
The new TSB update is exactly the same. I had great mileage, great shifting, better throttle, and now after 3k miles, I have the same sluggish acceleration, miss shifts, and lugging. My average went from 18.5-19 w 285s back to 16.5-17, which I'm not complaining about at all, but eagerly waiting for the 1.05 to come out before dropping the $$ on the tune also.

Seriously. Quit asking for your test tune 4 times a day. If you haven't gotten it yet, there's a reason for it.

Yes, please don't be that guy that points out a tester saying how crappy the tune we're waiting on is, I think there may be a reason all of the testers have went silent...are we just now figuring out how bad the shifting has been on this truck?? This sucks, where's the refund button?

I mean i dont really have any issues with 1.04. But surging and harsh shifting sounds undesirable, Also acemaster idk what u mean by “that guy” i was just quoting your words you used to describe 1.05. If those are accurate descriptions its probably best its not released until those are fixed! But the power in 2nd you mentioned sounds nice!

Jesus christ you people are paranoid.

I said what I'm looking for... not what's wrong.

In no way did I describe 1.05... I described what I'm looking for.

Why would I say the negative points when WE ARE TESTING it so there aren't any?

Want a bad point? 1st gear actual change was a little slow, now he's fixed it, success!

I just got 0058, while I enjoy the power of the 1.04 91 tune, 0058 is far nicer is terms of shifting/driveability. If I were on the sidelines, I would get 0058/0062 until 1.05 drops and decide based on 'objectionable' reviews.

I also stand by your statement because there is such thing as a manual valve body automatic transmission. It’s essentially a manual without the clutch, there is no “D”, you have to shift into the correct gear at the correct speed and you can’t downshift until you’re at a low enough speed or else you’ll blow it up

You will all like 1.05, I know that much.

As Mat said a few posts ago, we found differences between his truck and a 100% stock truck, my wheels aren't as heavy, therefore less rolling mass and gear changes need to be adjusted for that. Get it perfectly smooth on a 100% stock truck it'll be 100% smooth on a lifted/bigger tire truck.

This "pressure" that's starting to build surrounding ANYTHING that you say as a tester and the resulting carnage is precisely why Mat asks for discretion. Not bashing you sir, but I've been there done that. Bad things happened. Learned from it.
Anyway, appreciate your effort to make 1.05 great :hattip:

Yup, seems like saying anything on this thread is like begging for everyone to put their opinion in on. Some days it's entertaining to watch all the special children try to get along and someday (like today) you kinda wish there was just an email option that let you get all the pertinent updates and release info and forgo all the chit chat.

Probably time for this thread to go silent and wait for Matt @OVTune to do all the talking. Maybe silence will bring what we are waiting for? Sure hope so. No more posting for me in this thread until I have 1.05 flashed. Sleep well my MT and AT friends.

Chiming in here, I would concur with @acemastr

He really has this engine dialed in better than anything before and throttle seems to be further improved. The shifting issues are definitely present and this is a VERY time consuming thing. Those who have been around awhile will remember the nightmarish process Mat had to go through to modify 1200 individual shift tables. All that has changed with the TSB as well as “how” the truck shifts. Lots of trial and error here and I’m aware how much work this takes based on the feedback. There are some flares and occasional oddities in how it shifts still on my mostly stock truck (7 lb heavier, stock size tires and some bolt on accessories on stock suspension).

Sure, “soon” was probably a little over reaching a month ago... but this is how it goes. At this moment in time I’m running the TSB waiting for the next file. The TSB isn’t bad... just doesn’t have the GO, throttle, and killed learning we all tuned for and that’s what we’ll get back. Soon-ish.

1.05 will go well with your Thanksgiving dinner

I give him my opinion, his expertise decide what happens. He is the expert, this is his living he asks for opinions and problem finding and resolves it goes he thinks best.

I've spent enough time QA'ing software in my life to know how this works.
