When you say zero point, you just mean stock and not flashed right?

You and me both! Would love to get this thing running 100%

Knowing that you've been having a shitmazingly running truck for months, I feel the need to really help you figure this out. I'm going to try to draw on my vast experience here (and by vast, I mean not actually vast, and I just pretend I know what I'm doing) to brainstorm some ideas for you to check before your ECU switch. But first, here are some questions about the symptoms and what you've tested:

    1. You say it's leaning out, meaning your AFR goes UP, not DOWN? Not calling you dumb, just need to be clear.
    2. What exactly is the nature of the lean condition and exactly what does it look like? Does it lean out suddenly, i.e. instantaneously, or is it a slow lean out? I.e. can you be specific - "AFR increases from X to Y over a Z number of seconds, every time, or does something slightly different each time, etc."?
    3. Confirm you've never pulled codes related to these events? If you have, what were they?
    4. Is it always at WOT, or does it sometimes happen at other throttle positions? Do you know what they were approximately?
    6. Is the RPM that this occurs at always exactly the same? It sounds like it's occurred in different gears, but not 1st or 4th for example? Are you sure this isn't just due to chance, at it really could happen in any gear?
    5. What did URD look for and test for you when you called them? What else did they suggest, including what you did test and what you didn't test yet? And you sent your computer to them for testing, correct?
    6. Have you done a comprehensive check for leaks on the intake? i.e. with a boost leak tester?

Just want to say this now, I am only on page 390 as of the writing of this, but I hate our driveline setup. I have gone through so many stupid parts on mine. Bent tubes from wheeling, 4 carrier bearings, 3 sets of u-joints (all spicer), and this last time I bought a used one and completely rebuilt it with the IEDLS bearing and it has a vibration between 10 and 30 depending on the amount of drop on the carrier bearing. And now the thing thunks likes crazy. Every stop and take off, a good thunk. The damn splines in the slip are trashed! So please tell me what I need to do. Build a whole new one with the double cardan and the IEDLS bearing? Ok, rant over, I will continue to keep reading to page 401 to get caught up. But also, thank you, I will be adjusting my bypass when I do my s/c oil service soon.

That's exactly what I mean. Just a good, clean slate ECU.

If I were you I would do a one piece because you have a DCSB, BUT if you are boosted and running higher gear ratios in the rear end, critical speed could be an issue. @ItalynStylion help this gentleman out and let's get him vibe free and thunk free. :)

That would be me! I could make the AFE box literally change shapes! So now the snorkel is not sealed to the airbox and I get fender air and snorkel air. But I am still playing with this whole setup. Also, the snorkel will add turbulence to the MAF readings which can give you hickups. I am trying to find out if since I have the Hilux diesel snorkel, can I go to the new one actually made for the truck and cover all my previous holes. Cause the new one is much larger in body size, but not sure about the bottleneck going through the fender.

To anyone reading this you would be surprised how turbulent bends and turns in the intake system can cause to the MAF. Even myself with the URD filter, I get MAF glitches anand hiccups on occasion simply because it doesn't like how the air is incoming to it.

I have toasted a few MAF's already actually for the same reason!

    1. Correct, AFR goes up, leans out

    2. Leans out very quickly, the UCON just completely loses control of AFRs. The pic below is of a datalog that I captured you can see between frames 423-431, it drops off suddenly on both banks. @Roostfactor Doesnt the ucon capture multiple frames every second? or do you have any idea how quick this happened?

    3. Confirmed. The truck has never thrown codes while this leaning out occurs and the guardian kicks in. The CEL flashes, but no codes are ever thrown, and when I let off the gas, the CEL goes away.

    4. 99% of the time it occurs at 3k rpms. I have had it happen at like 75% throttle one time, but most of the time it happens @ WOT

    6. Has never happened in 1st. Most of the time at WOT in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, but it has happened in 5th as well. I've never had it happen in 6th, but i am 99% sure it would do it. I never floor it in 6th because i'm babying my stock clutch and trying to make it last as long as possible. I always downshift to 3rd or 4th and then hammer down.

    5. Here's a list of what all I went through with URD.. Yes sent my UCON to Gadget and he tested it in his truck. He said it checked out good. **I did NOT send my Toyota ECU to them for testing**

    6. I started with a stock air box w/ k&n filter included w/ the magnuson kit. I put the Toyota paper filter back in. And then eventually replaced with the URD TCAI. More info/details on this in the post linked above. I do not have a boost leak tester..

I did not even bother reading past #3. That right there was the single piece of information that makes me 100% undoubtedly sure that the causation of your issue is entirely software related. Get rid of UCON, as quickly as you can.

You know what, the more I think about it, the more I am starting to realize that when it entirely leans out, what is happening is the UCON is releasing fuel control, rather basically cutting it off after your designated RPM (funny enough it is the supercharger powerband beginning). Almost like a glitch in the UCON PCM software which is not correctable because it is an issue with the base software itself, not the base tune. Almost like the Windows blue screen of death. Which I know we've all seen before.
