Good point! Definitely going to steer clear of them now. Seem like 61lb are the right size:thumbsup:

The UCON was commanding approximately 11.75 afr. The WRAF's for whatever reason as you can see on the bottom 2 lines showed a rapid leaning condition. The UCON will engage the Guardian feature if it cant control the afr.
So the UCON commands a certain afr and reads it from the wrafs then adjusts idc to achieve desired afr. If the UCON cannot control the afr meaning its leaning out away from its commanded afr it will shut things down to prevent a blown motor.

Unless you switchback to the TRD tune, then you must run the Denso 455cc injectors. They are good for over 440 HP at 100%duty cycle with the FPR mod, which is more than any of us will EVER see. Just saying. ;)

Dremel and a worn down cutoff wheel slowly and methodically make your incisions across the ribs. I believe I made 8 for my 2.5 but it depends on pulley size also. You are going for maximum contact throughout the pulley surface as the belt runs through it.

Every bone in my body still says that the issue lies in the UCON software, not an engine hardware (sensor or item) issue.

There is one question that we have forgotten to ask @rjbiii I think though.

Did you get your UCON before, or after you got the TRD tune supercharger file flashed into your PCM?

    I see that now.

As I previously have stated here before. All roads lead back to the TRD tune file. :D Hahaha.

I’m not willing to give up on the UCON.

Mainly because I’m just getting my truck back together with it.

Also, because I would think the software would be the same on all the tunes. The only difference being some of the map parameters.

You know, the possibility exists that the OE computer in @rjbiii's truck is the issue and since the UCON is in play we are blaming it for the issues. Maybe he just has a defective unit. There are only a few things that will cause a lean condition like he is having.

    - MAF (ruled out)
    - Fueling issue (ruled out)
    - Oxygen sensors (ruled out)
    - Vacuum leak (ruled out)
    - Computer issue (Not ruled out)

To me, this looks like you've got a fuel delivery issue. Can you send me this log so I can look at the whole thing? PM inbound.

Again, depends on the size of the pulley. Let me get my hands on my 2.5 pulley I have lying around in my garage in a bit and count how many gouges I slashed across it.

The UCON by no means is a bad unit, but much like the restrictor jet mod is a very polarizing topic in this thread amongst the members. Me personally, despite the fact there is no possible way to edit parameters easily, am fully supportive of the TRD tune. It's gotten me to a 2.3 pulley safely. I'd say that's a score for Toyota.

2.5 for me. Probably my 2.6 too. If pulley boys ever mail them back. Nothing but headaches from them.
