I think I've made my choice on trading for 4x4 vs 4x4 conversion.

Will do the conversion, but I need someone who can do it for a good price. From what I understand, I'm looking at around $1k for the needed parts and probably another $1k (hopefully a lot less?!) for the labor for whoever can do it.

I work weeknights so meetups during the week are hard. Weekends are really the only time that most of us can meet.

Yes, as Slashaar says, we normally meet up on the weekends near the end of the month as we all have our responsibilities. Let us know what weekends usually work for you and maybe we can sort the next one out so you can join us.

Please understand my complaint was my work schedule of having to work every other weekend, NOT this group’s scheduling of events.

I work Thursday to Thursday, so I’m flying out today to return next Thursday. Every other weekend I’m at home. No doubt I’ll catch up with everyone, I’m just excited to finally be back in a car with a following of fellow addicts. I haven’t had that since my GTI racing days.

I thought I had heard only some of them up to a certain point did. But maybe that would've been 2nd gen....

Yeah only up to 1990 model year when the body design changed to the 2nd gen. Some 1st gens though didn't come with rear seats. Just a fold down metal floor where the rear seats would be and no carpet in the rear. Those were classified as "trucks" even though they still had fiberglass tops. It was a chicken tax related kind of thing.

Trying to sell my truck champ running boards from my truck.

Have a interested party, he drives a 2001 Toyota Tacoma "King cab" He's spanish speaking, so I'm not sure if he meant double cab. Not sure if that would fit.

    I figured as much.

He never responded back, so back to to hoping for a buyer.
