Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

I found out later last night that is not on deceleration per say, its when i have the clutch pedal depressed while the wheels are turning. Did the shake thing too, i did hear noise from drive shaft but don't know if it's normal or not.

 

Im actually starting to think its a u joint, this video sounds exaclty like what im hearing.

Spotted in Pleasanton parked outside of Cheesecake Factory. Pretty cool looking truck, looks like brand new BF HC bumper too.

Are there any scratches on the drive shaft? I would lift the truck on four jacks and take the wheels off and then put it in gear and see where the noise is coming from. I got extra jacks if you need them let me know. I can take out sometime during this weekend if you need any help.

 

skid plate loose? sounds like a bolt loose somewhere. Hard to say a u joint unless its been abused and not lubed. But then again your a turd gen right? maybe different u joints but if there the same as others gens they should be good for at least 100k im going on 140k

 

if its that bad you should be able to tell just by moving it with your hands and vibes will be noticeable

 

You might be able to feel that if you get down there and move the driveshaft. If you were closer, I'd help you inspect them

Have you checked with River City Gun Exchange, they get police trade ins. I know, they have 21, 22 and I believe 17, call and see if they have any.

2nd gen, yeah first thought was for loose bolts on skids too but they all are tight

 

You're good man, I'll probably wait till the weekend so I'm not out in my parking lot at 4 am tearing things apart like a tweaker. Gotta removal all the skid plates I just got on last weekend . It may be time for me to invest in a floor jack, these plates are getting heavy.

Yeah I crawled under there last night after work and I can get it to make a light clunking sound when I try to rotate it back and forth. Not sure if that's normal, but I need to wait till the weekend when I'll have more time to get under there and properly inspect things.
