Quick update on mine...I'm at 70,000 miles and still going strong. They have gotten a little louder as the miles pile up but nothing unbearable. My driving is mostly highway with a long commute (40+ miles one way) but I'm quite pleased with how these tires have held up.

70,000 miles on the tires? Or on the truck? 70k seems like a lot for a set of tires. How much tread left?

Awesome news man, that's great that they are standing behind what clearly looks like a factory defect. I ment yo ask if you bought them off of dtd but I'm assuming you didnt.

170,000 on the truck..70,000 on the tires. I drive between 35 and 40k per year so I pile up mileage quickly. I'll try to get a tread measurement when I get home this evening.

no i bought them off simpletire.com. well I wouldnt exactly say staying on the skinny pedal on some rocks would be a defect hehehe but them continuing to chunk after is what I would say the defect is.

Glad to hear our team at Discount Tire Direct took good care of you to help you with a credit towards your next set of tires. Thank you for the shout out.

Wow, that's a lot of miles. Sounds like they have served you well.

Thank you both for your business.

I will say another thing I'm impressed with is the mileage expectancy I was getting. 13k miles and only used 25% life... means I would have got close to 52k miles which ain't bad out of a mud tire

I'm planning on upgrading wheels and tires. Based on the reviews people are giving, these tires are at the top of my wish list. The wheels I've settled on (FN FX pros) are now going to be available in 16x8 instead of just 17x8. Since I'm not planning on lifting or upgrading my suspension anytime soon, I'm wondering if I'm limiting myself to tire selection based on the different wheels.

Dustin at FN told me that with both the 16 and 17 inch wheels, 265/65 will not rub, and 265/70 should not rub. Since i want as little problems as possible, including not buying a wheel that doesn't have a good selection of tire sizes, the 265/65's seem to only come in the 17s. Am I missing something?

265/65R17 will be the same height as 265/70R16. Smaller wheel but bigger tire side wall. Width is the same and overall height is the same. 265/65R17 came stock on the TRD sport. 265/70R16 came stock on the TRD O/R. But 265/70R17 is a slightly taller tire (about 1" taller) than a 265/70R16. So pick the size wheel you want and then find appropriate tires because a 265/70 is not enough info to determine if you will rub. You need to know wheel size too.

However, those tires on stock wheels sit more inside the wheel well due to backspacing/offset. Stock wheels are have backspacing of I think 5.5" (maybe 5.25 or 5.75"). Dustins 17x8 wheels have less backspacing (like 4.5") which is great for keeping larger tires from rubbing the frame when turned. Not sure about the new 16" wheels backspacing. Personally, I like the tires to stick out more than factory (wider stance) but not so much as to extend out past the fender flares and aftermarket wheels will achieve that look.

What size tire are you running? P or LT? Good to hear they can last that long!

I've had these installed for about 3 weeks and noticed about 3mpg loss from the stock firestones. I drive 28 highway miles to work and usually get about 23-24 and since the install I haven't gotten to 20mpg. I hope they're worth it.

A hit in MPG is to be expected when switching from worn tires to new tires. This is due to the fact that new full tread tires generate more rolling resistance than worn tires. You should see improvement in MPG the more you drive.

Put these on my truck and I love them. I have only had them on the street so far and they are quiet and ride smooth. Got a good deal at the local discount to me and added certs to them just to be safe. No issues with balancing at all and they look great.
