That picture you quoted has new ubolts.

Fair enough, I thought I remembered people saying to replace LBJ bolts.

Dunno, but wouldn't surprise me.

Samezies. Glad I ended up writing them down so I don't have to wonder in the future.

One interesting note is that the '01-04 LBJs use a slightly different bolt setup than '98-00 (and maybe earlier) where instead of a flanged bolt, they use a bolt+washer, since there's a rubber boot that covers the ball joint and the washer keeps the bolt from tearing it up.

I wonder if that's why there are all these different part numbers...

I bet we can find even more if we searched! ;)

Just like you talked about earlier. Why Toyota spends time to use multiple p/ns for the same part is odd. You would think it'd be easier to just use one part number & cross reference for different vehicles like they actually do for other parts.

Like the cigarette light lamp. 90010-01030 is for '01 up, orange bulb cover. 84999-10250 is for pre-'01, same lamp assy just with a green bulb cover. Ok that's logical but noooo there's more p/ns for the green, all with the same COO too!
    :annoyed:

My company did the whole Lean Kaizan Toyota model years ago. Not a fan. Felt like Tony Robbins for CEOs.

i honestly think the biggest reason they backout is improper torque. cheap torque wrenchs not calibrated right, running them in with impacts. or w/e. ive never had an issue with my balljoints coming loose. hell i reused my 270k mile bolts when i did my balljoints. just torqued to spec, no issues
