Good news to add to the cold air intake debate. Most recently, Lucario Runner did some comparative driving with his T4R equipped with a CAI, and his PreRunner w/OEM. The T4R runs 1-2 º higher than ambient, and the PreR runs 6-7º higher. Imagine that......

So you installed the Bully Dog tune with your blower? I ordered my Magnuson kit without the Bully Dog tune option. I think it was around $500 less to exclude the BD tune and I knew I wanted the TRD tune based on the reviews of BD. So I had a virgin ECU when I went to the dealer.

 

Just my luck. Truck falls on its face when you hit the gas quick. Seems to happen around 3k frequently. Cleaned maf couple days ago. Problem seems to happen more frequently when it's raining but not always. Two things I suspect is fuel quality or maf. Is there a preferred maf for our trucks? Parts store has two choices. One requires a core charge. WTF? Do they rebuild these?

Are you running a hydrophobic sock on your filter for your urd tcai? When the filter gets wet on mine, it likes to fall on its face and sputter when i get on the gas.. liquid going across the MAF element could be a potential cause of this

 

Thank you sir. I'll try this. I'll move my filter behind the bumper too. It's too friendly with my heat exchanger anyway.

 

I do. I just got it a couple weeks ago. Seems to make no difference. My thought is possible air leak at the sensor mounting point. Might make a gasket for it.

 

Sure thing! Yeah i need to re-do the bracket for mine, it has been rubbing on my intercooler some as well..

Kinda sucks they designed it for non s/c applications. You'd think they would try harder for those that would benefit the most.

 

Will do. I'm either going to extend it with a 45* or alter the connection point of the two pipes keeping the filter to maf geometry the same. This is my dd so throwing codes isnt as amusing.

 

@rjbiii, is this it? Looks suspiciously low priced. Says it doesnt fit my truck, and denso doesnt make it. Whatcha think?

 

Agreed, doesnt make a whole lot of sense.. its like theyre encouraging us to mod our trucks

So, when you add that 50-shot of NOS, you'll be right there. Just think how nice it will rev as the boost comes on...

 

So whenever I find a shop that will make the catless Y-Pipe.. should I stick to 2.25"?
