    Gentlemen,

We had a pretty good turn out for our first meet. It was awesome getting to know all of you a little better and checking out your awesome trucks. A few of us have been discussing a second meet and greet/trail run. With that being said, I think it's time we get round 2 under way.

This time around, we will be meeting at (open for other suggestions in the area) around 11:00am and leaving between 11:30am-12:00pm:

    Sears Auto Center
    754 S State St
    Salt Lake Cy,UT 84111

(The taco stands on the outer part of the parking lot are amazing!)

As for the date of the event, we have decided to do it on July 17.

We will grab a bite to eat then head out to the Bountiful/Farmington area.

The game plan is to drive back to one of the Farmington Lakes and do some exploring. Bring your own sandwich, drinks, and snacks.

An idea of where we will be going:

    http://www.summitpost.org/mountain/rock/260129/bountiful-peak.html

(Feel free to input guys. A BBQ would be fun in my opinion, but we could always grab food at some restaurant.)

I'm good for either day as well. I put down the 17th since thats the day I think most people with families will be able to get away.

How about a pot luck type of thing for the BBQ? Depending on the number of people coming, that might be a great option for dinner, assuming the run is going to take that long.

I just have a cheapy Weber 22" charcoal grill I can bring if someone doesn't want to haul out a propane grill (I dont cook for others though, so someone would have to volunteer to do the grilling). I've left it out in the snow this last winter, but I think it'll be just fine but kinda small if we have a large group. If everyone could bring just a single item of something like hamburger, hotdogs, buns, sides (potato salad, chips, etc), plates, whatever, I think that might turn out pretty well if we have a group like last time. Of course if people wanted something special (veggy burgers, etc), they should probably just bring it themselves. Probably should make people bring their own drinks since everyone will like different things. Maybe even their own meat, as I've seen that done before as well. Chairs would also be a good idea as well if someone has some folding ones.

I might even be talked into getting some hamburger from Sniders if thats the way people want to go. Its been a while since I've been there, but I do enjoy their garlic burgers (if they still have em), but I could pick up some plain ones also an we can season however.

As far as the meeting place, fantastic call on tacos. When I'm able to get to Salt Lake, I usually eat at the one facing state in that parking lot. They're all good though. For those that have never had street tacos, I know its a little scary the first time, but they really are great. First thing, they aren't hard shell tacos, but more of a traditional soft, 3" round tortilla you fold in half and eat. Usually, I just get carne asada tacos, but the adobado is pretty good as well for something a little more spicy. The burritos are also very good with meat, rice, beans, and cheese. They also have casadias, but I'm not a huge fan of that much cheese.

Only drawback is the stands are cash only, but they're cheap at two tacos for $1.50 (usually eat 4-6). The only place to sit and eat is on a 1 foot high cement parking lot wall/border.

I could make either date. I think the 17th will probably be less crowded on the trails and such avoiding the Holiday and all.

There is the parade on the 24th downtown, Deseret News Marathon and other races. I suspect there would be some other festivities to cross through driving through Farmington too?

I'm thinking of not taking too terribly long to BBQ because I want to get some good wheelin' in. I'm bring a small, portable propane BBQ. Just bring something small that you can strap down and won't fall down.

Nice catch on the parade. Hopefully the 17th will be the more popular date.

Taco's meeting at that Taco stand at Sears now that's funny! I hope somebody gets a picture of that.

Sadly I don't think I will be able to make either one of those day's.

If anybody is on the fence about going to the meet and great or trail run I definitely recommend it. It was a blast hanging out with these guys last weekend and hope to get back out with them ASAP.

I'm hoping to get out for a quick ride on my bike Saturday morning. I'm planning on going from the B to Francis peak and to the pond behind the peak and back to the B and get back to my truck truck by about 12:00. If anybody rides a bike or quad you are welcome to join me, I'm planning on getting on the trail around 8:30 - 9:00. Unfortunately the pace may be a bit too quick for a Tacoma. I'll try and get a bunch of pics so you guys can see what to expect up there.

I'm disappointed Jason:( I was hoping you would be able to make one of those dates. We'll have to go another time.

I would go with you on Saturday but I'm going to go camp up in the Uintas for the weekend.

Around 1:35 pm. My friends want to be at the airport around 9 to 10 am. They are so insane and paranoid about security shit at the airport. I told them just relax!
