How are the hids holding up in you oemassive headlight housing? Just wondering because I know hid bulbs get pretty hot. Worried it might melt the housing.

I have ran them through 1 winter (not much snow) and multiple car washes and still no issues. No moisture, no fog or condensation.

Aren't H7s 55W from the factory? I don't think they even make a 35W H7 bulb. Do you have HIDs? If so, those bulbs won't work

You’ll be fine, I’ve been running sylvania zxe’s for a month now with no issues. They’re 55w

no HID's. halogens. i just wanna keep it simple. i've got morimoto LED fogs and ditch lights on here already. i don't wanna add anymore to the lighting process, unless its a grille light bar.Tacoma 2017 26oct18 update.jpg

Use the 55W bulbs then, that's the wattage on stock taco headlights. If these truly have 35W bulbs in them then the 55s should be a great upgrade by itself

I am going to attempt to revive this old thread.

I am really considering pulling the trigger on a set of these. What's the difference between the OEMassive ones and the ProTuning Labs? Pro Tuning labs offers a 1yr extended warranty for $50...is it worth it?

Any input from you guys who are running these lights is greatly appreciated!!!

They look bad ass. But they’re not as good as stock. I’ve upgraded the bulb in mine but I’ve decided to go bhlm with my oem lights. I wish I had the resources and skills to retro fit these like meso has but I don’t. I’m not disappointed in them but I’d like better lighting than they provide. And also the Drl strip doesn’t look like one solid beam as the pictures make them seem

I have been running the oemassive ones for a little over a year. I cannot comment on the comparison or difference between the 2, but I am happy with mine still. I just installed Morimoto Elite HID's in mine a couple weeks ago and I think that made a slight improvement over the Kensun HID's I had in there previously. All in all I like them and going to keep them until I can afford the new Morimoto housings that are currently running $1200

Thanks! I've been following these and posts about them for a while and the consensus seems to be that they are very good quality. I'd be looking also do drop some HIDs in them when I get them, I'm glad to hear they fit!

    Looks good.

When you have a chance can you take a picture from the driver's seat about 25ft away from a wall? I want to see the light cut out.

I'm leaning towards this set up more than doing the Lexus swap or the the $1200 TRS headlights, but all depends the light output and cut out.
I guess on the TRS headlights having 2 projectors on the low bean would make twice as brighter than the set up you have but I wish I could find the specs comparison.

If I had the skills I would open this up and put 2 Lexus RX Bi-Xenon on it, or maybe @mesojdm would do it for me if he's up for the challenge, just like on the link below:
