I call my 2016 cement grey TSS BRUCE, after the shark from Jaws. I need to add a shark decal to the back....:)

Anyone have a gray taco with the bugdeflector mounted? Was wondering how it looked before I went and bought one.

I'm not sure what "HLC" is, but that sticker is strikingly similar to Honda's motorcycle racing brand.

Interesting artwork by the way. What's your intention with it? Stickers, patch, wall mural?

I bought my 2018 in May but I just now got back on TW. I drove my 1996 daily from the time I turned 16 until I bought this truck at 26. I love them both.20180921_185150.jpg 20180527_174646.jpg

It’s my friend’s brand Hardline Land Co. I think the resemblance is intentional. He had the artwork done to make stickers and eventually a few shirts. The artist nailed the details of my truck. I might have to hang a print in my garage.

Some crappy ones purchased on eBay. Don't recommend them.

Final update. Dealership and Toyota have been great and understanding throughout. They are helping me get out of the MGM and into a Cement TRD OR DCSB today. I was able to get an amazing finance rate, more money off of the new one, and Toyota is throwing in a Platinum warranty for my troubles. I am very appreciative of multiple parties stepping up.

Wait what? Instead of just repainting an area you got into a new truck? Was it really that bad? Many, including myself live with mild mottling that honestly, I don't even notice anymore. LOL. Either way, slightly jealous as cement is what i originally wanted.

Left fender was really bad. Other spots were on grille surround piece and left and right bed side. I had a couple of body shops tell me they would hate to break factory paint to attempt a fix. At the end of the day, it suits me and they are making it right.

I hear you. Could you easily see it in all light and was it bad? Was the dealer able to easily see it? I only can notice mine in certain light... like overcast or bright sunshine. But when I was at my dealer and tried to point it out, you literally couldn't even see it and it was a well lit garage. They looked for it again when I left it for a few hours and couldn't see anything.

Also, if I had to guess... did they say they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't be on another MGM, so you then asked for another color?

Added a small lift on mine last night. First pic is the components, then a before and after shot. Just 1" in the rear and a front spacer that was advertised to give 1.5" of lift(spacer was about 5/8-11/16" thick). It did lift exactly 1.5". Install was about 2 1/2 hours. Pretty simple. Achieved just what I wanted...a little more aggressive stance.

Yes. It was easy to see under artificial light and a sunny day at the right angle. My luck I didn’t see it when I picked it up. Service Manager and sales rep were both able to see it.

They let me demo another one and it was significantly better but still had some minor mottling. It’s just the way the MGMs are. With the cement paint, it has very little metallic so it’s good to go.

Again, the dealership and Toyota are making it right and I’m truly grateful for that.

LED lighting so far, more to come
    Purchased: August 20th, 2018

Vehicle: TRD Off Road with non JBL system, Auto transmission, MTS/Crawl Control, no sunroof

    Mods so far:
    - Pro Comp Rims 17x9
    - BFG Tires, 265/70 R17, load range C
    - Bilstein 5100 to level out front end
    - blacked out badges to include aluminum Tacoma inserts for rear tailgate
    - TRD pro grill
    - Hikari LED headlights and foglights
    - 20% 3m tint all the way around
    - OEM Tacoma bed mat
    - Alpine Ilx-207 head unit
    - JL separates for the front doors
    - JL 6.5 for the far doors
    - JL 10in Stealthbox for sub
    - JL RD500/1 for sub
    - JL RD400/4 for door speakers
    - NOICO 80mil for sound deadening all through out
    - Pedal Commander PC38

    Mods to come:
    - Interior LED lighting
    - CBI or RCI rock sliders
    - RCI complete under carriage skid plates
    - custom low profile front bumper with WARN winch

I wanted this rig to be capable to get me to out of the way fishing locations or to favorite ski locations. I did not need an extreme rock crawler and did not want to lose MPG's or have to re-gear. I have gotten to places in the last two months that my lifted F250 diesel couldn't get me to because it was just too big. The sound system inside is amazing, clean and a wonderful experience with Apple Car Play. The sub hits pretty hard for its size. I honestly did not think that would happen.

Thats great man. Since it is somewhat normal I'm just living with mine. Good luck with the cement though, awesome ride.
