Because it's more fun! And some of us are control freaks! And yeah. I'd actually rather have manual windows and locks.

Yes to all the above except here, the 4 cyl demands more $ than a similar model 6 cyl (SR5, etc), so is more desirable.

Gee whiz...you really do know what you're talking about (sarcasm).

Anybody can learn to use a circular saw, so why don't you grab someone off the street and let them cut for you on your next job.....lol

MT guy - 6MT is awesome, fun every day.
AT guy - AT does what it should (most of the time. Sorta). MT guys are stupid (I'm totally jealous).

Driving with straight cut gears, now that takes skill! Anyway, I hate to say it, but if/ when i go to buy a new truck and Tacoma 4x4's are available AT only, I'll probably keep on walking to the Ford or Chevy dealership. The 10 spd in the new Rangers is supposed to be amazing.

    Working on them
I have been asked that question multiple times now and so this weekend I plan to dig into it deeper myself and see what I can about my truck that gets me there because talking with a service Rep yesterday when I had the 5K service done he pointed out a few things and we looked under the hoods of TRD Off road and another Trd Pro, so I will list what could be the driving factor with pictures tommorow if everything else I need to do gets done. (Yard work)

I love the 6 speed. Took some getting used to shifting through the first 3 gears but it works great! I’ve seen up to 25.4 mpg when commuting. If you just follow the speed limit on the highway you can get good numbers. Usually it’s around 21-23 mpg for my overall use. I haven’t towed yet

And they're quite a bit cheaper than the automatic to begin with. Win win.

Manual for sure. I don't think I could go on living if I had an slushbox.

That can be said about many cars in stick. Always a higher resale in general.

    Interesting!
I guess maybe because I'm always looking at more "enthusiast" cars.
    VW
    BMW
    Even mazda actually.
