Wish it was stainless steel. That chrome shit doesn’t deal with surface rust very well.

 

How about those tiny antennas you see on cop cars and shit?! Those things work all over the city, around all the buildings. Are they not good to use for CB radios out on the trails? I would like to have like 4 or 5 of those on my truck to make people wonder what the hell I was. I could get one of those windbreakers with ATF on it for when I roll up to the Waffle House or 7-11. Start wearin' BDUs tucked into my boots.

Then I look at and I am 8 gazillion posts behind in all the threads.

 

Totally different than CB, plus there's repeaters all around town which is what allows them to talk anywhere. A police radio network is fairly intricate.

 

Ah. Makes sense. Damn. Well, then I guess I am back to the super long one bent over from the tailgate to the roof rack then. Even that will have to be lower than most fire sticks due to the garage here at work.

 

I agree. I take mine off for winter since I know it won't last against all the salt

I've had good success with mine so far.

I can tell you that the regular fire stick spring works...you hit a pot hole and it starts rocking back and forth. I slap everything when I'm on a trail with it.

Thinking about moving to a Wilson mag mount antenna soon.

 

Buddy has a Wilson mag mount, and it falls off the roof when he hits low trees lol

 

Tell him to put it on his hood. I've seen plenty of people do that and they are good.

 

Why didn't he thought about that before!? He always says he is smart, but now not that much lol

 

And they are still not great...

When I go down in a basement I get nothing but static on the radio...
