You’re obviously one of those guys that thinks you’re right about everything, so I’m not going to even bother. My next door neighbor is a finance manager here at Hendrick Toyota. MAX he’s going to get is 52,500.00! That’s straight from the horses mouth.

And you’re missing my whole point. This guys truck is ONE year old. I doubt he dropped 75,000.00 cash money on delivery. He probably owes quite a bit on it still. Unless he paid cash, he’s not getting enough to pay off the Raptor AND a TRD Pro.

Since your finance manager at Hendrick Toyota is the expert on current market value / trade in for a 17 Raptor...even so. Now your changing your tune a bit from your original statement but no worries.

And your first statement, not at all, old enough to know I'm usually wrong more often than I'm right. But my Dad just traded his 14 for an 18 Raptor and I've traded/owned a few Tacoma's in my life so have a good understanding of how the process works especially with these two trucks and resale value.

Your last statement is correct, it really is dependent on what he financed / paid for the Raptor, but it's worth more than a TRD PRO even at low trade in value.

Well I lose there. Like a pancake. Just couldn't let a few incorrect statements fly, which tends to get people in trouble on TW. All good. I will say I prefer CAV blue over Voodoo.

I would be a lot more interested in a Raptor if they went back to a V8 engine. I just don’t think that twin turbo V6 is built to last. Rumor is Ford is going to do that when they update it.

Im with you 100% on that. I still can’t believe they did blue two years in a row. A green of some sort would have been cool. All good though. I’m getting a nice deal on a Cav Blue. Super stoked.

Same thing here in Albuquerque. It's been here for weeks. No takers. Maybe because it's MT. Same for a white one in Santa Fe.

OK, I have been gone all day so I am back to put you all at ease. Toyota offered me $58k for the raptor and that is with me paying MSRP for their tacoma. They did take their stupid markup addendum off the price though. . Ford offered me $60k to buy it outright from me. I still turned it down. I only owe 13k on it so yes we were only like $3k apart from making the deal happen. Ran out of daylight and patience as they had another person trying to make a deal at the same time on the PRO... They kept playing us against each other so I walked. If the other guys deal don't work, I suspect they will call me back as they all wanted a crack at my Raptor. My truck has 8000 miles on it, supercab, one year Avalanche color, bead locks, and loaded with just about everything. I can get $64k retail on this truck all day long on the Raptor forum.

If the deal don't work then I may build a Off ROAD in the cavalry blue anyway.

Thanks for the input.. I don't have to sell it.. just looking to make things easier on me. So if it stays in my driveway I won't be butt hurt by it at all.

I love the Avalanche color. Hope it all works out for you. As for the Off Road build, that’s what I did the first time around. I’m getting a Pro this time. I won’t do the Voodoo Blue though. If I don’t get a Cavalry Blue, I’ll get next years color.

Switched dealers and drove to Atlanta because 1) they wanted my truck bad and 2) they were willing to make a much better trade . They gave me $63k trade for the Raptor and came off their price a $1000 to make the deal work. Its strange being in a much smaller truck but so far I am really enjoying the Cav TRD Pro.

You’ll miss the Ford for all of a week and then you’ll really love your new TRD Pro.

Isn’t it funny? These Taco’s don’t seem to have 1/4 of the power of the EcoBoost engines, but I really don’t miss it. At all.

After seeing it in person, I changed my mind and got the VooDoo. I hope you are still enjoying your new Cav Blue Pro.

I'm loving the VooDoo blue. Trying to track down a 4runner in that color.
