Hi everyone. I feel like I am just about ready to lift my truck. I've done a lot of research, and this thread has been tremendously useful.

What I'm certain of is that I will be keeping my stock wheels and running K02's at 285/75/16. I want to go with the Icon lift with the Dakar spring set in the back, I won't be removing any leafs as I always have over 300 pounds in the bed under my tonneau and intend to have a RTT in the future. I'm just going to stick with the Icon tubular UCAs.

What i'm confused of is what exactly I need to purchase. I do go offroading on pretty rough trails probably 2-3 times a month. They are mostly steep uphill/downhill and rocks with large dug out portions and some mud, if they were any worse my taco probably wouldnt make it through. It's a big reason that I want this lift. I chose Icon because the idea of it still riding great on road appeals to me a lot, but I certainly need some more clearance.

I do not have a front bumper, so I wont be going with the 700 pound springs. Can someone help me piece this together? All the kits after stage 1 come with springs, which I wouldnt need as i'm getting the Dakar's.

So i know (think) I need to purchase these: http://iconvehicledynamics.com/shop...22-198000-spanner-wrench-coilover-shocks.html
    http://iconvehicledynamics.com/shop...elta-joint-tubular-upper-control-arm-kit.html

I don't know how I can purchase the front and rear shocks alone though or if I need to purchase any other components. I think I will end up going with the extended travel kit as well so I'm sure that I will need to find some brake line extensions too. Can someone give me a hand or some advice on this? I'm new to this and want to do it right my first time, any guidance would be extremely appreciated.

    Thank you!!

Planning on installing non reseviored 2.5s, extended travel with 700lb coils. I currently and running a CBI T3(steel) full hoop front bumper with a 9k winch. I was curious on the measurements for preload guys were running to achieve 2.5-3 inches of lift. Thanks!!

Here goes my first foray into TW: just got Icon stage 9 with hydraulic bump stops installed the other day, paired with SCS Ray 10s, and Nitto Ridge Grapplers. this isn't going to be healthy for my wallet... also looks like the shop put the fronts on out of the box, anyone have any recommendations on setting the preload, or should i leave it, as is?

How did it change the ride quality over stock on highway regular paved roads. Did you notice it improved?

I'm pretty sure Icons come pre set, you could adjust the preload depending on the ride quality and height you want.. looks good to me though. Any rubbing?

It was rubbing pretty bad when they put it down the first time, so it has a pretty aggressive CMC. They said that was what they have had to do every time the put SCS wheels on because of the off-set. i want to run 35s one day so I also had them get it ready for that when they day comes.

I'd your happy with the ride quality I wouldn't adjust the preload, maybe the adjust the cdc?

Hey, here’s the best I can find pics wise... but with a 700lb 14” spring you do not want to exceed 1” of “preload.”

I’m sitting at 2.5” with just under an inch of thread showing.

Took the truck into Mikes Custom Toys to have some work done. Wow, I drove in thinking my truck was in good shape. I left there thinking i was in a new truck. Great guy to work with. Great shop and AMAZING work. Had my Icon 2.5 reservoir shocks all rebuilt. New 700lb springs added, rebuilt my UCA with the delta joints and replaced my Icon AAL with the Dakar leaf spring ELO95. My wife noticed the ride difference right alway. So much smoother. I will for sure go back when i need more work.

Got my Icon Stage 3 system installed by RPM Garage in Monrovia Ca. While there, also had Metal Works Fabrication do the CMC mod in prep for bigger tires. Truck has a little rake to it but planning to let it settle a bit and add a few turns to the adjuster in hopes of leveling it out.

Hello, I have a few questions for all the Icon owners. I've read the entire thread.
    1. Owners without CDC (Compression Dampening Control), is the ride quality a lot more or a little more stiffer than stock relatively?
    2. Owners with CDC (Compression Dampening Control), can dampening it be adjusted to be as soft as stock relatively?
    3. Were there any alignment issues with front camber when lifted to the maximum?
    4. What front camber did you have your alignment set at?
    5. What was the maximum front negative camber achievable?
    6. Were extended brake lines front or rear needed?
    7. How long did your shocks/coilovers last until a rebuild was needed?
    Thanks!

    1. Yes, my ride was noticeably stiffer than stock, but I have 700lb springs and an ARB bumper on the front - the dampening is awesome though over swift bumps and whoops.
    2. N/A to me
    3. I did not lift my truck to the “max” amount specified by icon, but no, I have no issues with my alignment at all.
    4. Left .2 // Right 0
    5. :notsure:
    6. No, although I will probably add them to the rear eventually
    7. I have about 25k on mine now and they’re going great. Although, if one blows tomorrow (knock on wood) I blame you! :boink:

    Overall: would buy again.

    2. Setting number “4” is supposed to be same stiffness as stock suspension. Can’t confirm this because I had less than 100 miles on the truck before switching suspension

Greetings, I am currently not sure where to head with this. SO I Purchased some 285/70/17 BFG, I have the TRD rims. Didnt ever know much about offset until 2 years later. But I recently installed the Icon stage 2 system and now trying to figure out what to do to get the tires to fit. I installed right out of the box, no adjustments were made.
