What's the thickest paper you can squeeze under it on the stock suspension?

I'm sure they're the same. I intend to do the same once my PIAA Ion Plasma Yellows finally die. They're still going strong at nearly 6 years old though

I also have the Morimoto fogs, it fits our 12'+ Tacoma and 14'+ 4Runner. I think I might just put the Morimoto on the Tacoma and the Baja Design Squadron sport wide corning in amber for the 4Runner :)

    Congrats on the new 4Runner!

We were actually out shopping for these yesterday.....almost exact same one you purchased (trd off road premium in silver). Have a question for you guys with 4runners.......

I’ve been driving my 17 tacoma for a cpl years now and we just got back from a long road trip.....8 hours on the interstate gave me plenty of time to be fixated on the stupid shifting behavior of my truck and I think I’ve had enough. I even have OVtune which has helped, but it’s still so gutless at highway speed.....truck is perfectly capable, but the drivetrain keeps it from being the most amazing road trip vehicle for us. The whole trip, my partner keeps saying “why is the truck doing that?”.....”why are you gunning it?”....etc. “No dear....we just encountered a little hill and the truck is trying not to slow down”. Ugh.....I’m over it (the shift behavior AND the griping).

Sorry....I didn’t come here to gripe......came to ask what your impression of highway driving is in the 4Runner. We test drove two different ones yesterday pretty extensively and did some higher speed interstate driving for a little bit of that. My impression is that the 4Runner has a more relaxed drive in the 70-75 mph range without all the erratic shifting.....probably due to the fact that there’s only 5th gear and the 4.0 has more torque. Is my assessment correct?

I thought I had test driven my tacoma enough when I bought it.....don’t want to make another mistake.

Thanks for the input. I think we are going to do it. There is an added level of refinement to the ride for sure and I think we both like that.

I’m working a deal and gave them my “this is all I’ll pay” limit yesterday....we will see tomorrow if they do it. With it being end of the month and this is one of only a couple 18s left, I think they’ll make it work. Fingers crossed. If not, we will just roll with the Tacoma for now and hope the next tune update helps it a bit I suppose. Here’s the one we are looking to buy....

Agreed, on the highway at 70-75 mph the 4Runner cruises flawlessly with no issues of gear hunting
