Wife’s Car is all set. I like ‘em but lotsa places with coated floors won’t let you in, so I make do without

 

Is there chains available for the Toyota’s never looked, got them for my other trucks in the toolboxes

Lotsa good shops here that can make you up a set. Gotta get a rear locker for starters, then chainin' up, and if it's still questionable after all that, maybe I'll just stay home.

 

I've looked into chains for the truck for a possible trip to the snow and Toyota says to only chain the back tires and to never put chains on the front for 3rd gens. I would think its the same for 2nd gens.

On the Lexus side we would tell people to buy snow tires and never use chains. And people bought snow tires.

 

I've never used either myself. I grew up driving in the snow and never got stuck with 2wd. My truck hasnt seen snow in the 2yrs i've had it. Maybe I'll make a trip this winter and take the pup to see snow for the first time.

 

My folks live an hour north of Springfield, and I can make that drive from South Austin in 11 hours...depending on how I time hitting Dallas.

My inner 14 year-old still giggles every time I have to gas up at “Kum & Go.” Hee hee. I then had to explain that credit card charge to my wife. “No, it’s not a strip club whore house, it’s a gas station.”
