I may be wrong... The only BD option I remember before Magnuson took over the blowers was an n/a version that was hyped up by a rep here and laughed right out of his own thread after almost nothing that was promised made it to final production.

    Oh?
I remember one guy who sent his ecu to ovtune to be flashed. He gave a good review but that was before ovtune was really known on here and I don’t think people believed him.

I mean you have one mod that is different than your Dad. It starts with a Y and ends with pipe. :D:thumbsup:

Im still curious to see a properly leaned out TRD reflash on a 2.5 and fpr vs what an ovtune can do and go beyond. All these rich TRD reflashes on 2.85 pulleys have plenty to gain weather ovtune or ucon. This is nothing new.

Long long day, my brain couldn’t figure that one out at first haha. Yes this is very true which is why my truck will still beat his! But when I was dyno tuned it was before I had any aftermarket ypipe!

Bypass valve adjustment was a guessing game. I'll take off the cover tmrw to have a look. I noticed a good improvement though! I do have to be gentle and not go wot. Did some mods out of order.:anonymous:

Did any limiters need modification like the stock one?

One per pee touch and a free ice cream!

It's a performance based mod. The improvements will not be audibly noticed, rather realized in a "go fast" setting.

I'm sorry I must be stuck on stupid right now as much work as I did on this thing tonight I am smoked.

    What?

Audibly I couldn't hear the tink sound when adjusting the bypass. I'll crack it open tmrw and look. Definitely one of the first mods one should do imho.
Did any stop limiters need grinding on the new tensioner like the stock one did? To provide adequate range of motion.

Zero mods to limits required. It has a ridiculous range of motion unlike stock.

I did however require spacing out the idler pulley (which I did have to end up transferring over for the record) about 1/8" using some Grade 8 washers which were as large as the base to line back up properly with the crank pulley track due to the fact that even the base is made using thicker billet that it spaced out the entire tensioner arm.

For the record, anyone planning on running a beefier tensioner will be unable to run a shorter belt or else the tensioner arm will strike the fan clutch assembly due to the arm being in a higher overall position. If you run an E-fan however, you will not have this issue. Needless to say I now have a 68" long 5 rib Gates FleetRunner belt sitting there as a decoration now. :(

This arm feels like it has a slightly stronger spring than stock, as it felt like it required more effort to move it, but then again maybe that was just my massive dehydration and lack of nutrition sinking in and slowly killing me.

Magnuson supercharger, 2.6 quick change pulley, 76mm throttle body, Doug thorley long tubes, urd y pipe, wot box with 2 step, 170 thermostat, airaid intake, urd short throw, djm 3/4
So I’ve talked about this a little bit but just want to no what everyone thinks. I have plenty of time over the winter to mess with stuff. I’m going to be getting a meth kit. And a icebox and replumb the supercharger coolant so it goes right from the icebox to the supercharger. And then goes through the intercooler and back to the icebox.

What I’m thinking is that the maf sensor on my urd intake will be up front and reading air temps. But the temp of the air actually entering the motor will
Be way cooler running ice and meth. I want to find a iat sensor that I can screw drill and tap into the supercharger after the cooler so the motor knows the exact air temp. I need to find a iat that will screw in and have the same resistance so I can just remove the wires from my maf and run them to this new sensor. I feel like the truck will be happier and run better this way.

Really appreciate the input and thought and anything you guys think. I always have good ideas but making it happen is always the difficult part.

So are we taking about screwing a sensor into the lid of the supercharger?
