It looks like Ford is making good use of the Taurus front clip.

Saw this last night. The Raptor version better be better than this. IMHO Tacoma beats it.

8.4 inch clearance. Have to lift it and put on 35s to match Tacoma with 33s.
Poor approach angle. Poor relief angle. Etc...

Yeah I saw that, I’m sure it’ll beat the tar out of regular Ranger like the Full-size Raptor to an regular F150.

Still can't get over a 4 cylinder jamming it with turbo and a 10 speed.
Do you see the clearance between the block and front of the truck ? I thought taco had a lot of room.
    And.....it's a FORD. At least its not a F1shitty.

That extra 45 Ft Lbs of torque probably feels pretty good too, would assume it will do good on that Gauntlet Test.

    So much this.

I like how the Ranger Raptor looks aesthetically and how much different it looks than the base Ranger. Chevy has done something similar with the ZR2 to an extent. The Pro doesn't look that much different than the base Tacoma (I mean the Pro has the same tires as the Off-Road). Enough competition should hopefully push Toyota to differentiate the Tacoma Pro (or whatever model they use) from the lower trims.

I always thought the original TRD Pro should have had a factory supercharger and the 3G Pro should have more unique pieces. Toyota charges over $1,000 for the Pro headlight assemblies and they're still halogen pieces.

Dang it, sometimes I wish I would’ve waited a bit longer with my taco. At some point I decided to stop buying new cars, drew the line at the taco.. oh well!

Love the looks of the front end. In my opinion the Tacoma just doesn’t look right. A big nasty chin or buck tooth. Why Toyota? Why?!?!

I did not get a pro because the value was not there. For the $7k+ uplift I would have wanted a supercharger or V8 and a factory 3" lift with 33" tires.

The day a reliable supercharger kit is available I will likely plan that upgrade.

270hp out of the notorious eco boost 4-cyl?

    Pass.

I thought it would have best in class HP.

Looks like they decided to go with best in class torque instead.

The Colorado diesel has more torque.

But with the ranger, I am sure one can just fool around with the ECU/boost controller and get 350hp.

Thing is. Those eco boost I4s have a pretty poor reputation and the the Ranger’s lower output probably results in a longer life.

Right on the diesel but that is not a good comparison. No doubt they tuned it towards the lower end, aftermarket will probably take care of that.

The overseas Ranger gets a diesel and just got the 10 speed auto transmission this year . The frame is mostly the same minus some minor adjustments for the U.S market.
