    exactly what came to my thoughts after listening a few times. The elocker would be interesting. But possibly better if that was on the friz than the tcase.

    No shit it doesn't sound good, hahaha. Wouldn't have posted if it seemed like no big deal :D

    You can. I have a pixel too. Rename the file to remove the zip, and it'll pay in chrome on your phone:boink:

    Lol

    :thumbsup:

    No real vibrations during the sound.

    Acceleration after sounds totally normal.

    Checked that yesterday, because I agree - sounds like I suddenly switch into 4lo at 60mph.

    Seemed normal engagement wise... Shaft to knob was a bit warm (not hot).

    Thanks for trying, seriously.

    Elocker - interesting. How do I check that?

    What should I do to debug or disable each of the tcase and elocker?

    Thanks again everyone! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I pulled my motor off and pushed the rack that pushes the elocker in away from the diff. It was just a hair too far ridding the edge of the gears

    Yeah have done that with the tcase myself. Never have owned an elocker and hopefully never will. That's interesting.

    I just stop. And pop the tcase into neutral. Then put it back into drive. Elocker one is a bit more involved as it sounds like you should take off the actuator.

    @turbodb
    Do you have manual front hubs or ADD?
    The elocker you could lock it in and see if noise goes away. Just drive as straight as possible.

    Ok, I've cycled the tcase several times already, since as I mentioned, it sounded like that to me already... No luck, yet.

    Did finally got some dirt last night, and more this morning as we get out of camp, so hopefully that sorts it out. We'll see.

    Seems to drive fine except for these sorts, so going to keep on keeping on. Take it to Toyota when I get back if it's still acting up.

    Thanks again guys.

    Oh, and so I'm not all "downer," here's where we woke up this morning...

    I'm in 2wd when it happens. Highway. But sounds like I suddenly am I'm 4lo when it happens, and the "clunk" could be 4wd disengaging.

    No 4wd light on the dash illuminates though, and j shift is still clearly in 2wd.

    It sounds to me like the ADD is not disengaging all the way. The rear locker wont make that much noise if your going straight. Both axle are turning the same speed. In 2wd the front axles are turning the same speed but the spider gears and ADD stub shaft are not.

    My elocker was pretty loud at speed. But you could definitely tell it was in the rear.

    Book shows it's vacuum operated. @Empty_Lord do you know if the ADD actuator loses vacuum does it default into 2wd or 4wd? You could try jacking 1 front wheel up when your in 2wd and spin it. See if the noise is there.
