I'll see what he comes back with on the 2.0's. I don't want to push my luck, to be honest. 2.0's are plenty for what I want to do. I don't mind overkill at all, but we'll see.

Gotta think about the valving too... Digressive (6112/5160) vs. Linear (2.0/2.5) vs. progressive.

Here's an awesome article on it so you can learn yourself. I've read it and it was great information.

A second reason I'm thinking of going to the Fox 2.0's. I'm trying to avoid getting UCA's. For now anyway.

Makes sense, those things are expensive haha. I was in the same boat as you though, wanted to do the 2.0 front and rear with an AAL from Headstrong. But I changed my mind towards a Bilstein 5100/OME 888 setup w/ 3 AAL and TC UCA's. It comes out to around 1500 from Headstrong before shipping, and should suit my needs for now since I dont rock crawl or anything. Just looking to be able to put on bigger tires to ride sand easier. Just my mindset

Great article and video. I think it helped me confirm to move to the Fox 2.0 to keep the shock/ride in the linear performance curve. For what I intend on doing linear is going to suit me best and I believe I'll get the best of both worlds in that, I'll have a much better ride for hopefully not a lot of cost and I won't need a UCA which I think I will need in the 6112's because they are a bigger bodied coil-over.

Yeah, the Fox 2.0's are going to do what I want. I'll also be able to go to a full 2" suspension lift which I can't do with the 6112's. 1.75" is my max on those. No need for UCA's and I can go to 285's with minimal cutting since I'll be ditching the air dam anyway maybe some like cutting on the back of the flare and inside the fender well. I've already tested my new -12 wheels on my stock 265's with no lift and I have about .75" clearance on the front to the air dam and on the back around 1.75" of clearance. Max left/right was clear.

Even if I have to do a CMC, I'm not even worried about that. That'll be about 3 hours of work. Hopefully not per side. lol.

You need aftermarket UCAs to correct caster for bigger tires and rubbing....I had 6112 on stock UCAs at one point.

Not sure why your thinking this way....

A 2" suspension lift with 265's on a 17" wheel with a -12 offset and 4.5" backspace will still rub the stock UCA?

My concern with the 6112's is mainly that I can't get a 2" lift out of them. Max is 1.75", but it looks like their wider coil over body might interfere with the stock UCA's. If not, that's fine, but the shorter lift is something I don't want.

What @oscolivar1 means is that the the aftermarket UCA is gonna give you more range to adjust the caster of your wheels. Which will push the front wheels forward and give more clearance to the cab mount. Your offset should be okay on the wheels, and shouldnt hit the stock UCA however. Also if youre not adding any lift in the back, I dont know if you decided to add or not, 2" in the front only may give your truck the bro-lean, which is cool if you like that look, but I know other members strongly disagree with that lol. Up to you tho.

Lol, no bro lean. I'm doing rears too.

I understand the need for aftermarket UCA's. I'm debating the cost/benefit analysis of getting them vs. a CMC if I go to a 285 tire.

Get aftermarket UCAs. You won't be able to get the right caster with stocks at a 2" lift. Tried it, didn't get it. Especially with 285s on stock tires you'll run into issues.

Okay, I'll take a look into a couple of recommended UCA's. Still waiting on my buddy from Fox so it might be a while before I start anything. If he says now, then I'll just plunk down the money and get going. He's my long pole right now, but that's okay. It just gives me some time to research while waiting.

My truck is almost finished. Do lots of research! I took months before figuring out what I wanted/needed.

I ended up going with the 6112/5160 combo and it rides great. I put SPC UCAs in as all the research suggested they're easier to align and pretty much no chance of the tires rubbing the UCAs. I put 285/70r17 KO2s on Fuel Hostage wheels with the -12 offset. I was super worried that they would stick out past the fender wells, but they only just barely do. In the back I've got Icon AALs.

Tomorrow I'm getting the CMC and fender lining trimmed. I had to cut the lower part of the fender today as the tires were rubbing... Lots. I'll put some pics up here when it stops raining!

Looks awesome. I might hit you up in PM so not to clog up the conversation if I have any questions. If you don't mind I mean.

I did this for about a grand. Have over 38K miles on this with no problems. Just ran Moab trails all last week. Everything works flawlessly.

Understood. I thought the Fox 2.0's only went to 2" on the fronts.
