This, I have an Afe system in mine that the previous owner installed. Will be putting a stock system back in when I get the chance. Every time I accelerate im reminded of a fast and the furious movie.

Previous owner put K&N on mine, but like you I will be putting back stock when I can find the parts at a local yard. It's not too noisy, but I just don't like the fact that I have to wash and oil the filter. I'd rather just be able to put in a new filter and go.

Exactly, mine honestly isn't horrible, considering I barely get above 2k rpm most of the time. But when I'm on the highway and really have to give it gas, the sound is the furthest thing from pleasant.

I bought one with a K&N installed. Not my thing. I want to return mine to stock. I have a 2011 TRD Sport. Would that have had a standard V6 intake, or a TRD from the factory?

    Factory airbox with a snorkel*.

Any oiled/reusable filter just lets dirt into the motor.

*snorkel not really necessary unless you play in the wild.

    Than
Thanks PCTaco. So the TRD intake is an add-on for all the trucks, not stock?

Any idea what the OEM parts would cost? I may need to consult my friendly neighborhood junkyard.

No idea on the cost. The TRD is in fact an addon and everything comes with the same airbox. It's a pretty hard thing to bang up so should be fairly easy to find.

Cool. I'll just look for a standard V6 intake then. Thanks for the info.

    I should see I'd the OP still wants one. I'll have a like-new K&N soon. :)

Stock intake with a AFE ProDry air filter. Rip out the charcoal filter and you got yourself a cold air intake.

Bone stock nothing done with a scangauge/ultragauge shows iat at approx 45mph to be ambient or within 2 degrees.
So, off the lot u have cai

Minus however much the location of the filter box (on top of engine) heats the system
