What type of stickers are you looking to get made?

Stickers aren't just something anyone can whip up with ease. Depending on what you want and what you start off with - will determine how much time and headaches it takes (and what it'll cost you). If you don't provide the exact type of file format - then the images/files have to be worked - and that can be a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS.

I have a vinyl cutter and might be able to help. What kinda stickers are you looking for. Vinyl stickers are one color only.

you can do multiple colors by layering but the decal will be thicker.

Post the image of the decal, if I have a chance I can digitize it so it'll be simpler for someone to cut or print in vector format.

epa4wd is correct you can layer the vinyl for multiple colors. I did not want to open that can of worms. I was offering to help out if you are looking for sticker that are just one color. (All green, all red, all silver, etc. etc. if you want to layer a red sticker on top of green sticker for instance you can do that. I am not going to pre-layer them, it is just to time consuming for me unless you are willing to pay. Here are some pics the trd on the roof rack is one color just silver. The bedside trd is black and silver (pre-layered) The Trd on the rack is easy and cheap. the trd on the bedside not so easy and not so cheap [IMG][IMG] look hard and you can see the silver shadow under the black (pre-layered)

    You are absolutely right....

However - Sockmonkey's stickers are not the same type or process. His stickers are not your typical vinyl cut-outs. I don't know what the process is called, but I think it involves actually 'printing' the graphic.

This is a sticker from Sockmonkey.... My husband & I actually designed the graphic and sent it to Sock so he could produce the sticker. THis type of sticker would be a royal nightmare to make in the standard vinyl format as you're referring to. Not only that, but the overlapping & thin lines wouldn't withstand the elements and would probably peel up over time.

Maybe Sock can explain his process for us?

Yeah I think he uses some kind of thermal plotter/cutter (hell of expensive). That particular decal you posted I would usually cut the white part first (solid) then place the red part on top of it. Vinyl over vinyl will stick very very strongly. Attached is a similar kind of decal I made (bottom layer black top layer yellow)

Attached is one I did for my brother, exact replica of original FORD decal (original decal was removed when truck was restored) has been on the truck for a few years now.

Yes, my husband would do the same thing.

However, with that paticular logo I posted - He did not want to tackle it for a variety of reasons. And mostly - because he does not have the proper vinyl at home and did not want to spend $$ on buying new rolls just to make 2 small stickers for me. It was cheaper to have someone else do it.

I understand, very nice deign btw looks good on the scoop. I got to say this one awesome forum, lots of talent. I mean we got members doing custom emblems, shift knobs, decals, bumpers, skid plates etc etc... definitely not like any other forum I've been part of. :headbang:
