Looks like the aftermarket is already offering parts.

I would imagine the aftermarket for a Ford Ranger is going to be off the charts Ford is probably foaming at the mouth to get the aftermarket companies trucks to build and design for.

I speculate 2 reason the Ranger Raptor is not yet coming to US. 1 is because they don't want to cannibalize the full size Raptor sales and 2. They don't need to at this time as the standard ranger or Ranger FX-4 or whatever they will call it will compete well with the competition. If Toyota and Chevy up the competition, maybe. America loves the big trucks - Australia loves the small trucks.

Yup. The off-road package already competes with TRD. The ranger raptor would only compete with the zr2 which doesn't have a lot of sales, so there isn't quite a market for it. If the ranger sells well, they'll build a raptor

I agree, Ford doesn't need to go all-in yet. Test the waters with the new truck and see if there is interest in a top tier version.

^It is by no means the worst offender, though. I don't think this company developed portal boxes with 5-lug hubs already for the stock axle:

I bet the only accessory that makes production will be the dual lightbar brackets.

They'll 100% bring a Ranger Raptor here. Just not right away, which makes sense imo.

A turbo is certainly more failure prone than no turbo.

 for the new ranger, it doesn’t seem to be terribly priced and the turbo I4 being the base engine is a nice touch.

To clarify: A turbo charger can fail. An NA engine has no turbo charger to fail.

I’ve been driving turbo European cars for 30 years and have yet to have one fail. A little Aerospace company by the name of Saab made fantastic (yet really quirky) cars with turbos for five decades before GM bled them dry. My VW/Audi/Porsche turbos have been money. Now VW can bleed you dry on repairs if you get a bad one (like my most recent GTI) but I’ve never had a turbo issue. This is not a new technology. I’d take a turbo 4 Toyota Tacoma any day. Those old turbo 4 Toyota trucks were great and quick for back in the day.

My Ex-Fiance recently traded off her Turbo Wolfsburg Jetta, had well over 200k on it and never had an issue with the Turbo.

Really enjoyed my gen7 GTI but that forum had it's share of turbo issue threads.
