FYI, I’m still running the leaf springs I got off of you. Did you ever run them on your truck?(I forgot) If so, how do the Deavers compare?

No I never did. I was thinking I wanted to run more weight but decided against it. That's why I never ran them. The devers are pretty awesome, especially with just a bit of weight in the back they ride like butter. And my wheel hop Is gone .
How are you liking the allpro's. Were you able to get matching shocks for the back?

I really like them because I often put more weight than I probably should in the bed. I’ve had over 1200lbs in the bed and they held up reasonably well.

I went with Bilstein 5165 w/remote reservoirs. Got them from Wheeler’s for my application. Just gave them compressed/expanded #s and they sent what I needed.

Awesome glad that their working good for you. How do the bilstines match up with you ADS?
The devers are deff not meant for that much weight.
It was nice meeting you btw!

Well for what I’ve been able to do with the truck so far, they are working out ok. I know my front end is overkill for the kind of off-road driving I do but I really like it. With the RTT and gear in the bed the springs soften right up and the shocks are plenty stiff enough to keep the rear end tracking exactly as it should. I still think I need to do the Ubolt flip and a shock relocation ASAP. My work schedule has been nuts lately though so I haven’t been able to connect with my fabricator buddy on it.

Always nice to meet with other 1st Gen owners. You get to take it out wheeling much?

Always a pleasure to meet fellow best gen.er's.
I've had a pretty crazy work schedule the last year. I get 1 day off every other week. Gotta pay back the "man".
Anyways. Actually saw some dirt today , went out shooting.
I put in new bump stops and removed the sway bar. Man what a difference it is running with out it. All the bad chatter was gone. Should have done it a couple of years ago. I have a whole new appreciation for my shocks.
I heard you on the rear shock relocation. I think I've blown out my second rear shock.

Well I got some crappy pics be a little progress has be made.
Instaled plasticguy front and rear bump stops.20181031_115253.jpg 20181031_115240.jpg
    Also removed my swaybar.

And..now I have to hang my head in shame.
I'm dropping the truck off at the shop tomorrow to have the clutch replaced and valves adjusted.
Between going on vacation for 2wks and my crazy work schedule I just don't have time to do it. I try to do as much work on my own as I can but it's just not gonna happen . So I'm gonna help support a local business and get to enjoy my only time off.

And hopefully arriving in the Mail soon will be a Ebay safari snorkel knockoff. Yeaaa!! I'm super excited I've wanted one for years!

Guess I have a little update. I feel as though I've farming all my work out. Is what it is thought. Gonna change my title to bought not built. Anyways.
Well I got the truck back frome the shop. I was freaking expensive. But I enjoyed my vacation and my truck feels like a million bucks. I'm having to relearn how to drive it. It shifts so smooth and the clutch is so easy.
    Work done.
New clutch. Resurfaced flywheel. Rear main seal.
New carrier bearing. And rear drive shaft rebuilt and re balanced. The front was good.
Valves were checked. They were still in spec. New valve cover and intake gaskets.
And today I have the cbi rear brace welded in.
Tomorrow I plan on getting my snorkel installed.
    20181121_135845.jpg
    20181121_172508.jpg
And the PNW was of course unseasonably sunny and warm. . I was hoping for glumly and cold.
