Looks like you really didn’t pay much for the extras. Enjoy the truck, I would roll down the windows and verify the dealer actually tinted the windows that they charged you for.

I've heard just the opposite. Vary RPMs (no red-line), don't use CC.

Do the fronts have dye as well? All the windows appear to match but I’ll verify when I get home. I thought the rear window and back glass had dye and the front did not.

Correct, the front windows are clear and rear dyed.

I bought from Kendall a few miles from the Lithia in Eugene. Both offered 4K off msrp. But Kendall offered that deal on any 2018 the first week they landed in 2017 so I went with them.

I bet you could do much better now that dealers are discounting more than they ever have. Also, the salesman I dealt with at Kendall was super awesome. If you would like his info let me know.

Yeah, I believe the manual says to not keep rpms constant the first 1,000 miles and to vary drive speeds.

Take the cash back and use a local credit union. I have 2.89% through my credit union.

I am pretty sure Toyota makes a truck capable of surviving a drive home like that. Broken in or not.

Back-roads. Takes a bit longer but you also see more than interstate highway.

It’s up to you, you’ll be fine just taking the highway but Toyota doesn’t recommend it. It’s not just the engine that’s breaking in, it’s the diffs and trans as well. You’ve got a warranty though if anything ever comes up in the future.

Make a day of it, drive to a destination and have lunch. Let it cool down and then drive again, maybe 2 stops. Always nice to do heat cycles on a fresh motor. Anyway you do it your truck will be fine, they run the motors prior to sending them to the dealers.

In Albuquerque, I found my 2018 Silver Sky Metallic 4x2 OR DCSB with black oval running boards, mudguards, Tonneau cover, and Tech package. With Costco auto program it was $34,500, and it had 7 miles on it when I did my test drive. I started trying to research MSRP and newness of engines but that beauty took control of my senses! It is now in my drive way. :bananadance:

If I could change anything, it would be to Magnetic Gray Metallic and add the premium package. But who knows what that would have done to the cost so I am perfectly content!
