Just my opinion, but the aesthetic differences can be made up easily (and cheap if you go with faux aftermarket) and most, if not all of the mechanical upgrades get swapped for better ones, anyway.

I would have went with an SR5 4X4 if they came in a manual. Price was the same for a stick shift OR, so it was an easy decision to get the trans I wanted with extras for about the same price.

Looks good, another important distinction, can't get a PRO in QS.

Is that a 265 G2 tire on the BRO Faux PRO?

the Pro is basically a Off-Road with better off-road stuff than the Off-road model. Plus Leather.

This is a good quick answer. There is no way there is a 12k difference in price, in reality a similarly appointed OR goes for about 3k-4k less than a PRO. The differences then come down to PRO styled interior, PRO grill, PRO badges, TRD exhaust and FOX suspension. If you buy all the parts to make a FAUX PRO and have those parts installed (many of us are not as mechanically inclined) you will pay more than 3k-4k.

All of that said you still won't have the added resale value of the PRO. So in reality is it worth it? YES it is IF the PRO is what you want!

If you want a truck to put a lift on then the OR or Sport would probably be better suited for you.

This is a great answer. Thinking about it, if I could do it all again I would have gotten a PRO.

Get a 2018 OR while they are discounted.

    I got a 2017 in Jan 2018 for 34k. So far I’ve put under 4K in mods.

Wait... The homelink mirror is only $150? I'm a bit bummed that it wasn't just included with the premium package on my '18 OR

I think the best answer so far, and one I completely agree with, is that it depends on what you intend to do with it. I bought a Pro because I wanted the leather and I'll live with a 1" lift that is covered under warranty. I've saw a faux Pro on a dealer lot yesterday and it was pretty sad. Pro badging with OME lift kit, and 285/70s.

This is a very interesting debate as I am currently in the market for a Pro MT. My plan is to add sliders, bed rack for RTT and call it a day, and have no time or desire to add wheels, grill, skids, suspension etc. I just want a very capable truck out of the box and under full factory warranty. The market for Pro's seems to have come down slightly as there are several examples CPO/used on the market for under $40K.

After your PRO warranty is up, couldn't you just slip in a .5" top plate spacer up front and maybe a new AAL in the back and get just a week more lift and be happy with that?

I do a little looking online and you can find a good CPO Pro for $40-42K.

Yes sir, that's the plan. Once the warranty is up and the stock suspention gives up the ghost, it will be time to upgrade the lift a bit.

Otherwise I've already started the customization process with some scratches earned on a mountain goat path near Nederland, CO. That's the only thing I'll do with my Pro for a while. It's really nice the way it is....but needs more scratches, I mean trail time.
